On a date with a married woman

    I'm kinda freaking out here.

I am divorced because my wife cheated on me and I know the pain so I said I wouldn't do that to someone else.

Now, I met a girl from work, we actually worked at different locations. She was at the bar with her husband but we clicked. FFWD to Thanksgiving week I took a job promotion and now work with her.

At break she mentions she kicked her husband out of the house and he is living with his ex wife. I do not know any other details.

A few days later, it is Friday and I mention I am going to the bar after work, she says, "text me I'll go with you". Well I didn't text her because I thought she was kidding. Monday rolls around and she said, I was waiting for your text. Well we joked about it and now we are FFWD to last night, yeah another Friday.

She says lets go have drinks and dinner Saturday.

I'm like WTF! Then I say ok, LOL

Here it is 3 1/2 hours before the date TONIGHT and I am freaked out and reading forums LOL

Now, let me tell everyone, I was married 25 years so, dating is still new to me if that makes sense. Is she just being friendly? or OVER Friendly? She want to just get laid?

I know not to get involved in the sense to get feelings for her, I mean they just split last month. But I am all about getting laid! What if I am wrong and she just wants to socialize?

    Yeah, new to dating world!!!!!

I am going to the bar early because it is a bar neither have been to but was recommended by a co-worker who lives in that town, AND I can read any replies from this forum before my date arrives. By the way, the co worker thinks it is a good idea that I go out with this woman, but this co-worker and I have been friends from when I was married and she thinks I am over thinking it.

    Ya you're over-thinking it.

Classic "men" attitude- they think any time a woman smiles at him, she wants to have sex.

Look, there's a few things to unpack here:

    1. What do YOU want- an unattached hookup, friends-with-benefits, casual dating, or a serious relationship?

    2. What are your ethics- at what point during the break down of a woman's marriage are you willing to be "the homewrecker"? After the guy is living elsewhere for a while? After they are officially "separated"? After divorce papers are filed? After the divorce papers are signed? After 6 months post-divorce?

... question 1 should guide you on question 2, for your own protection.

    3. What's your policy on romance with coworkers?

    ...

anyways, what happened on the "date"?

Well I did say that dating is new to me,

I guess I should have also mentioned the CLEAR signs that sex was on the table, .. figuratively speaking 😂

So, yeah, I got laid, that home is already wrecked!
