Tell her to get her mobile phone out and switch to calculator.
Tell her to guess a number between one and ten (other than one or ten) and not only will you guess the number but you will also do something else...
This is pretty neat.
DON'T CHEAT BY SCROLLING DOWN FIRST!
It takes less than a minute .
Work this out as you read ...
Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out because that is half the surprise.
1. First of all, tell her to pick the number.
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you get the calculator
5. If she has already had her birthday this year add 1756 ....
If she hasn't, add 1755.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that she was born
You should have a three digit number
The first digit of this was her original number
The next two numbers are
HER AGE! (Oh YES, it is!!!!!)

why not 1 or 10? cuz I tested it and it works with any number, even over 10.
But it's a really neat trick! Thanks :)

I like this, it's too complex for me to remember, wht with all the other material in there, so I think i'll just rite it on my cheat sheet if i'm going to use it.
Goos Mat Trick I love Math Tricks and numerical oddities.

1x1 = 1
11x11 = 121
111x111 = 12321
1111x1111 = 1234321
11111x11111 = 123454321
and so on...
Cool. The middle numeral is always the amount of "ones" on either side of the equation, then subtract one and you have the next number on either side of the median numeral. Crystal stuff. Use that as a neat sound byte.
