View Full Version : Text message cancelation, response?

So I had plans with this girl tonight who I met last weekend. I called her two days ago and planned get dinner together and about 40 minutes before she texts me and says she can't make it because "theres a problem at work and she needs to fix it" however

1) thats a terrible excuse
2) we have a mutual friend, and i KNOW he has class at the same time she does (our plans were after her class) so she wasn't at work at the time she texted me

I dont really care that she blew me off, the only thing that bothers me is I wish I had a better response....its hard being indirect and non-needy over a text message, so the best thing i came up with was not texting her until 15 minutes before our actual plans to meet up (which in the meantime, she had called me twice and left a message) and i told her "i was in a meeting (which i was) and good luck fixing her 'problem'.

Whats a good way to respond though to a girl who cancels on text message, to leave her thinking if she made the right decision or not? any suggestions?

"That's too bad, you're missing out on what would be a great time for you."
