A friend's girlfriend gave me the phone number of her friend last night. She said that I should text her but not to tell her the I got her number from her friend.

Any ideas on what I should text her first?

Cheers

If it's a friend she will probably tell her friend anyway... or has told already.
So don't try something too witty, funny etc. or you'll look like a clown or freak if she tells her.

Did you met the girls yesterday or do you know them and how long?

Maybe you should forget her.

Do you know how she looks? What do you know about her?
The best thing to do IMO would be to meet with your friend again and she should bring her friend along.

Everything else is just weird

what lik said basically, Do you know anything about her at all? if it was me I would

"hey, (your friend's name) gave me your number, heard you are interested in (an activity)/(her work) - (your name)"

Her friend gave me her number when she was drunk saying that if I want no strings attached sex then I should give this girl a shout but not to tell her where I got her number from.

I'd delete it. Sounds too creepy to me, no offense. Once you've met her, then all is fair.
