According to my psychology book, men tend to view a woman's friendliness as sexual interest.
Friendly vs Flirty
There are many signs that are hard to tell whether a woman has sexual interest in you, or is just merely being polite or friendly.
For example, a common IOI, a touch on the arm, is considered to be a sign of sexual interest through kino escalation. Now, my teacher, who is married and is really friendly, sometimes touches my arm when she is talking to me 1-on-1.
I seem to have trouble differentiating whether a girl my age is showing interest or just being really friendly. Have you guys picked up on anything that differentiates the two even though they may be similar?

Does she touch then stroke? or is it a touch to get your attention.
Here's what I used to do a few years back, I guess people would call it my AFC days:
If I flirt and she doesn't reciprocate, then she's being friendly and I misjudged it. This test flirting that I'm doing is simple: holding eye contact, giving her a stupid nickname, and so on. I'm just seeing how she reacts to these. As long as she doesn't give me the "you're creeping me out" vibe, I'm golden.
Again this is what I used to do. I now just assume it's on with the girl I'm interested in and it seems to work out.[CENTER][COLOR="black"][SIZE="2"]This ain't no tall order, This is nothin to me

Carter, that doesn't sound like AFC to me. It sounds nicely calibrated. Now that you just assume "game on" and start plowing, you're probably *building* the attraction that allows it to "work out."
Kittens--Carter is right on...Start testing them by flirting.

I can't remember who posted it, but I read this on another thread the other day: An IOI is anything that you wouldn't do to a another guy in a gay bar. I don't remember who said it, but I think that sums it up best.Who is ninja? I am ninja.
