Do women expect a "confirmation text"?

Back story: Met on bumble, chatted a bit. We agreed to meet up for a drink. On Sunday I said, "Let's meet on Tuesday at X location at 8:00 pm." She seemed very enthusiastic about this idea. I even specified the address to avoid confusion.

On Tuesday at 7:45 I texted her, "Hey! I'm on my way now. I'll see you soon."

Her: "You haven't texted me since Sunday so I didn't think we were still on. Most men send a confirmation text. I've already made other plans."

Needless to say, I was pretty pissed and dumbfounded. If she had that many doubts, why didn't she just text me to confirm? My female friends are of the opinion that she's too high maintenance.

What do you all make of this?
