  1. Future Bootcamp - New York City, May 2011

I took the NYC bootcamp with Future last weekend. Nick Hoss was co-instructor, Intrigue was the approach coach, and Trigger was there to help one of our nights out.

    The positives -

There were only five students in the class, so the student/instructor ratio was great. It was always easy to find an instructor during the nights out, and we were able to get different perspectives on various aspects of the material discussed in class.

Future was a great teacher. He's funny and he does a great job of explaining the material. Reading Magic Bullets is helpful, but after the bootcamp I have a much better understanding of how all the pieces fit together. It's invaluable to be able to ask questions to someone who really understands the model. I also appreciated his frankness. This is not one of those "Believe you can do it and you can do it!" self-help programs based on the power of positive thinking. Youíre learning something concrete that works, but itís not magic. Future was honest, there are many things out of your control, and youíre not going to be able to look at any girl and get her.

All the instructors were generous with their time. Although the nights out officially ended at 2am, a couple of the instructors stayed much later both nights. In the classroom on the final day we ran out of time before Future had covered comfort. He asked if anyone needed to leave right away, nobody did, so he went and paid for another hour in the room to give us time to finish comfort. He also spent half an hour near the end lecturing in a flawless British accent, which lent an air of sophistication to an otherwise callow discussion about the ďpussy factoryĒ method of seduction.

Going out at night was really helpful. Some of the routines seem cheesy to me and I couldn't imagine myself saying those things, but seeing the coaches run those routines on girls was really helpful. I spent most of the first night going around with Intrigue and he was really great, he would have me open, then come into the conversation and help direct it and keep it going. That night I saw Intrigue get a makeout with an incredibly hot Italian girl, who insisted on giving him her number before he asked for it. The system works, these guys have game, all doubts will disappear when you see them in the field.

    The negatives Ė

Here is a description of a bootcamp from a Love Systems email: "We have a curriculum that's been refined over five years to follow, complete with personalized routines, practicing, fashion consultations, practicing, exercises, practicing, sharing advanced Love Systems techniques, and... more practicing."

There were no personalized routines, we did one exercise, and in the classroom there was no practicing at all. I think that practicing was on the agenda the first day, but we ran out of time. I don't feel that any classroom time was wasted, everything we covered was helpful and valuable, but I think a more interactive classroom involving exercises and practicing would have been very beneficial.

The nights out were good, but they could have been better. The instructors were great at dropping whatever they were doing to answer questions, they were great at getting me into sets, and they (especially Intrigue) were great at joining me in sets and keeping them going, but I think the value of going out in a bootcamp is being able to get immediate feedback on your interactions so you can make immediate changes, and the feedback wasnít as good as it could have been.

In many of the sets I was on my own or with one of the other students, and things didnít go well. I could make a reasonable guess about what went wrong, but I didnít always know how to correct it, and Iím sure I wasnít always right about what went wrong. Maybe it would have been weird to have an instructor stand near enough to eavesdrop on the interaction without participating in order to evaluate the student and give feedback, but Iím sure something like this could have been managed without making it too strange. I want to be fair, I realize that each student was at a different level, some of them probably wanted to be left alone, and even though the student/instructor ratio was great there still wasn't one instructor for each student. We were at a club, not a science lab, everything was a little chaotic and you can't control and analyze each interaction, but again, I think they could have done a better job.

Overall the positives far outweighed the negatives. The bootcamp was fun, I learned a lot, and it was definitely worth the price. Even if you've bought Magic Bullets and have tried some of the stuff on your own, you should still take a bootcamp. It cuts the learning curve way down, and especially if you're like me and you need a push, go for it.

If you want to get good fast, this is way to do it. All the instructors were very helpful and accommodating, it was a great experience, and I think the only mistake I made was going in without a very clear idea of what I wanted from the bootcamp. Go in knowing what you want, and donít be afraid to discuss it with the instructors.

TheTrain, thanks so much for the review, and I really appreciate your honesty. The chaos of workshops is tough to manage, but I'm taking a hard look at your feedback, and I'll make adjustments in the future. As well, I'm always trying to get more time in class for workshops, and I'll take this feedback to heart as well. See you in a couple months at the Playboy Mansion!

"I thought I knew everything there was to know about women. I've been around a while and met a lot of people through my various social circles. After sitting through Future's workshop, I am absolutely speechless. Between his energy, his obvious love of what he does and for his students, his relentless humor (you may want to bring Depends to class), and of course his airtight game, I don't think I've ever been more impressed with a teacher. Ever. If you have any doubts as to whether or not you should take a Love Systems workshop with Future, let me allay them right now. Take my word for it. Or go to Hell."
