Women problems --- "just shut up"

    Ok

I know women love to talk. Especially when it comes to their problems and issues in life.

All the women I know seem to bitch and whine about it. I want them to STOP, all I can say is "i'm no Oprah".

How do I get them to stop talking about this issues and have a positive outlook???

    HELP

not low self esteem just personal issues with family & work. She would kick a guys ass in a second but she always wants to talk about her job or family problems ruining any mood I start up.

  4. I like when the chick acts out her entire day at work, including mimicking the voices of her coworkers.

Almost worse is when they describe a dream they had in fine detail.

I've had many filibustering GFs. Chicks can't stay in the moment.

Her: "Blah blah blah blah, and Jeanie said blah blah blah and"

(raise your palm up to her and make the 'stop' gesture)

You: "Really? We have to go through this again? I really look forward to seeing you. I can't listen to any more of this. It's not fair to me. I appreciate you feeling safe enough to discuss your troubles with me, but this is becoming like Groundhog Day. I'm not a shrink, I'm your BF. Let's have some positive experiences together."

    Her: "But blah, blah, blah"

Don't be surprised if she starts crying. It's their underhanded way of getting you to capitulate.

This is the one thing I got out of Mars and Venus, when they complain - they're not looking for you to fix problems or be Oprah, but you want to try to get her to shift focus a bit and get her mind off of it, because she's going to be stuck on it. It's also a good relationship test - how interested is she in your day to day life? Another test is how tolerant she is when you talk over her or disrupt her. Sometimes I'll just tell her I need to go take a leak and odds are whatever she was talking about will have been forgotten by the time I'm back.

Because there's some people that will talk, and talk, and talk...

Yeah this girl is a New Yorker, she will have attitude about it.

Lately I've been moving thoughts acting like a Alpha Male. This could help much speaking about how it repeats over and over. I dont want to be the friend to hear her issues but I dont want to be a total asshole about her expressing herself.

Transitioning to a positive out look is what I'm hoping to go with in a ALPHA's mentality. Any more would help to consider future actions.

Just listen to her, don't try to look for answers for her problems.
And read what sdnightfly said again, it's good advice.

Women have the urge to say 35.000 words a day. Men only have the urge for 10.000. So if she hasn't been able to have her nonsensical ramble, just listen for a few minutes and move on. It's a drag, but she'll appreciate it.
