small bump on shaft of penis: HPV?
Hi all,
I've never had any STDs my whole life (always used protection.) Three months ago I had unprotected sex. Fast forward to a month later, and I have a small bump on the shaft of my penis. It's very small, and doesn't cause any discomfort. It looks like a tiny pimple.
It has been there a month and it hasn't gone away.. I wonder if it could be a genital wart, caused by HPV?

it may be a rash or irritation, if its not blistering open, and doesnt itch or isnt painful then their is a good shot tht you dont have anything.
go to your doctor and get a std check

It's probably a cyst or something of that nature, meaning it's not an STD (especially if you say you've always been cautious).
Go see a dermatologist after you get your junk checked out for STDs if the clinic doesn't have an answer for you.

Thanks guys.
What is a "cyst"?
Is a test for HPV part of the regular battery of STD tests?

Go to a urologist or a clinic ASAP if you can't afford a specialist and let us know what they say, and I sure as hell am not going to scare you with a best or worst case situation answer until you're in a gown with your ass hanging out sitting on a crackly paper over the chair in a sterile office looking at a mix of motivation posters and the inner workings of a cartoon penis and blue pill brochures.
There's NO way anyone can answer that except a "dick doc" or a general physician that happens to know. Like I said, the clinic's is the way to go if money's an issue, or too embarrassed to see your physician about. Even the ones that deal with pregnancies and birth control usually look at guys if their equipment's in question.. call them up and check ahead of time. And odds are they're sending you to the dick doc because they might not know.
Just say "I don't know what this is" and "excuse me while I whip this out".

A cyst: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyst
There is not currently a test available for HPV for men. Talk to your doctor about it, it may be something else like a wart, etc. No one here will be able to tell you exactly what this is, you'll need to seek information from a medical professional. See a link here for more information about HPV. http://www.thehpvtest.com/about-hpv/...V-test-for-men
