So my girl friend asked me out - should I tell this to my GF?

So this girl asked me out for a dinner today. She did it because she owes me a favor, but we never ever ever flirted or anything, we just went out a lot of times and had good time, nothing flirty ever happened.

She asked me out for a dinner, should I casually tell this to my girl? I want to, and most likely I will, but I just want to know what the forum thinks about situations like these?

    Thanks

FRIENDS go out to dinner all the time. It sounds like YOU think it's more.

Tell your girl "my friend is buying me dinner cuz I helped her out with something recently."

There's nothing wrong with having female friends.

Yes, you should tell your girlfriend. If she finds out later, she will think you are cheating on here. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Yeah I mentioned this to her, she has no problems with it at all.

And since I feel like I'm maturing lately, I can't actually call this girl my friend. I think I have >10 friends in my life.

These others are...I don't know... good acquaintances? Because she doesn't know anything bout me, bout my work, bout my likes, dislikes, the only way she knows me is because we often bump into each other because we go to the same club from time to time.

Outside of that place, we meet 2 times a year. And I always feel bored when I talk to her, always the same questions and answers.

I noticed I'm getting harder to open up to friendships lately...it kinda gets redundant to act like someone you barely know is your great friend and waste time on calling those group of people out for drinks just to pretend to have a great social life...

    I don't know...but that's off topic anyways

  6. In smaller city danger is that she figures out sooner or later.
If you tell her - in advance of course - she should not complain if she trusts you but danger is she may want go together. Well - if you and your dinner friend have nothing more in minds - it should not be a problem.

So talk about what interests you and see if anything catches on with her. There are always ways to connect with people, it just takes a little digging.

  8. take your girlfriend with you, if you dont plan to try anything with here, this will make a statement to your girlfriend.
