Hoboken used to the type of town where all the Frat Boys from Rutgers (my alma mater) moved after college. Its changed alot since then. They've put up tons of new luxury condo's now its attractive young wealthy yuppy couples and young professionals from Manhattan. So now you see more lounges, sushi bars, and better restaurants (lots of great places to eat). There's also more gays and artsy people than they used to be over 5 years ago.Not a lot, just noticeable. They tend to move a little further from the Path train station where rent is slightly cheaper. I lived there for a year and loved it. You're only a 15 minutes bus ride from Port Authority (42nd and 8th) or a 20 minute path train from the Village.

And if you move there, don't bother having a car. Its more trouble than its worth. I didn't have mine the whole time I lived there but my roomates did and it was their biggest gripe.

I just stumbled upon this thread. I've lived in NJ all my life and in Hoboken for a year a couple years ago. I've been hitting Jersey bars since I was 18. Fader, you're moving in just in time because compared to the rest of the year, Hoboken is a lot weaker in the summer You'll be catching the tail end of it. All the hottest girls go to the Jersey Shore in the summer on weekends.

The best thing about Hoboken is if one place sucks, you can walk to the next. And I've seen just about every place have its off nights so its good to have options. Here are some places I go to:

    ...

I'd love to hear where some of you other guys go in Hoboken and what you like about the places.
Dude this entire post is spot on! yes people will start to come back in october and this place will be swingin...or maybe just my junk, but there will be swingin

Hey now the hoboken police are pretty sharp. They know my name and where i live. I am pretty clueless as to how this happened but they wake me up when i need to move my car for construction so i am all set with it.

Hey all, new to forum and just stumbled on this thread. Loving that people are out gaming in Hoboken. I've been living here for a year now and have had pretty good success going out with my roomates and some other friends, they have decent natural game but aren't into pick-up. I'm looking to expand the crew and find some good wings for hoboken/jersey shore. What's good for tonight?!

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and new to pickup. I'm in central jersey during the summer and south jersey during the school year. PM me if you're in the area and need a wing.
