    Default Introduction; and a question

Hi guys, I'm new. I've been reading on these forums for a couple weeks now, and it just astounds me how people have been crafting human interactions into a science.

I'm a complete newbie. I would say I am moderately skilled with chatting up people, but that's about it. I can't approach, and I can't do anything else than talk and just have a good time. It's not too bad, really, but there's obviously something missing here.

I was just wondering, what do I need to work on? What should I work on? I've read the inner game routine where you just go up and talk to random people about the time of day or even telling them that you are talking to them to try to develop better social skills.

I've also read Mystery's newbie drill (I have VAH ), which seems to be designed to hone one's skills sharply but only for a very specific aspect of the game (bar/club game ).

I'm just lost as to what I should start off on, since there are so many different things to start with. Can someone just start me off somehow? What do I need to do? My head is spinning.

    Thanks,

    Rics

PS: If it helps, I'm a college student in NYC.

you can read as many books as you want.. but you wont get anywhere without doing... failure dont exist anymore.. only experiences and testings... dont limit yourself because "canīt appraoch"... so start by approaching and transitioning .. experiment with it!

i think alot of people is too focused on following the rules and theories.. that once everything dont go perfect.. they shut down... in the same way you cant become good at drawing by reading books.. you actually have to use a pencil.

It sounds like you really need to work on your approach anxiety (AA) out in the field. Also have you thought about taking a bootcamp ?

I've definitely wanted to take a bootcamp , but right now I'm unable to afford it. So would you say that I should just start out by going up to random strangers and just chatting them up?
