When am i no longer a newbie?

Is it when i get past the 300 recommended sets (as practise, getting used to the core skill of open-neg/dq-hhv-qualify)? Or when i get the ! close?

I know that everyone differs in their development and the skills they gain etc, but just as a yardstick, what in your mind constitutes one no longer being a newbie?

Why is it important? Are you measuring yourself by some term? Better to compete against yourself and do better each day then the last.

My attraction blows vs now I can do attraction

i dont, i guess it really depends on your progress.
id say 2-3 months of sarging. when you can open sets and build attraction, comfort and sometimes have full close.
but dont worry 2-3 months of sarging is definitely worth it. you'll grow more confidence as you do this more often. take everything step by step. first 2 weeks concentrate on opening, then the next 2 weeks on transitioning and dhv stories and negs. then next 2 weeks concentrate on comfort. dont expect to get a full close in a few days. its like playing basketball, u wont get good until later on.
    anyways i love this game.

    i've already done Paris :P

Yeah i know i get caught up in these technical terms but it's nice to have a particular yardstick to measure by.

Oh yes change and improvement has been happening (in that +1 sense) which is great; and i guess the worst thing is either regression or plateauing.

Maybe it's when you 'get it' and stop asking newbie questions or those that indicate your newbie-like. I mean when you find yourself asking a question and know it's newbie by nature, and that a 'non newbie' would not a. be hung up by it or need to ask it b. it's not a concern of theirs cos they have skill in that area or general skill or c. they've got that perspective/skill/maturity that in their mind that question does not come up at all.

Don't you just love mental masturbation? :P

I'd say your no longer a noobie when you can successfully pick up about 3 girls with in 1 club.

    Including:

    Getting #'s (not flakes)
them wanting to hang with you
them talking back to you when your not speaking

    stuff like that
