    Dealing with flaky behavior

I've been out with a girl a few times, and everything seems to be going well, apart from her canceling and rescheduling dates. They seem to be for valid reasons, but it's frustrating. Sometimes it's that she needs to see her sick grandmother. Another couple of times she's been called into work. Am I wrong to think that she should give a higher priority to our time together? I suppose I expect her to tell her boss she can't come in because she's busy, when he asks her to cover a shift at short notice. Am I creating problems in the longer-term by being so accommodating? Any idea what steps I can take to get things working better?

It's not flaking if they are valid reasons... its a busy world out there... ask yourself if she is worth the trouble, and if she is, there is nothing wrong with being accomodating...

that said, if she starts being truly flaky, then deal with it

  3. Think of this the following way, would she cancel if Brad Pitt was taking her on a date? Means you didn't build enough attraction or did something else wrong when you first met her. I can understand a one time emergency cancellation (we are all human and things happen ), but a few different times? No.

Ah yes, the "Brad Pitt Rule". My favorite.
