Thread: Fader Bootcamp - NYC, April 2009

My first impression of Fader was a really intimidating one. I arrived to class early and found him looking outside of our seminar room's 4th story window, arms crossed, vigilantly gazing downwards, watching the manhattan streets as they unraveled below. I didn't know what to say. To tell you the truth, I was scared being in bootcamp to begin with. I finally managed to whimper out a quiet "hey" not knowing what kind of answer I would get back. Fader returned my quiet greeting with a warm and enthusiastic welcome of his own. I knew after the first minute of talking with guy that I liked him. He's seriously just a normal dude.

And what made bootcamp with Fader that much better, was how great of a teacher he was. He went out of his way to give us two extra hours of classtime every day. Each day, he started an hour early and ended an hour late even though he didn't have to. He wanted us to get the most out of what we could from the seminar . And I really did! The stuff I learned I couldn't believe. I approached more girls in one night than I have in five years!!! FIVE YEARS!!!

You guys have to see Fader in action. I seriously could not believe this guy's game. The first night we went out, the dude was a freakin' savant. I mean girls were eating his game up! I remember we were in this one bar, and Fader was gaming this beautiful girl who was on line to use the bathroom. This girl DID NOT want to stop talking to the guy. Eventually there was no line and restrooms freed up, but whad'ya know, the girl was still there chatting away with Fader , probably forgetting why she was there in the first place.

The man picked up a model! I kid you not! The floor where we were holding the seminar happened to be a studio for dancers and models. And guess what?! He picked one of them up! This beautiful girl was standing by the elevator right after an audition and Fader seeing an opportunity just started gaming her. The man got her number in a matter of MINUTES! Seriously I've never seen anyone do that.

Overall I'm really thankful for the experience I have had in bootcamp . I've really changed these past few days and I'm going to continue to move forward. Just so you guys know, right after the end of bootcamp , literally a minute after Fader left the subway car, I gamed this girl and I got her number! Yes, I got a random girl's number after my third day.....unbelieveable. I seriously could've never done this before. I feel like a new man.

Thanks for the great review. i had a blast at this one and it was good seeing you to hang out a couple of weeks ago. I sent the flower girls your love I just finished another NYC workshop and there will probably another on the schedule around for October. M let's get together again soon.

Here is, to say the least, a rather belated review of my bootcamp with Fader . My schedule makes it difficult for me to write reviews, but Fader earned a review, so I made it a point to write one.

The first thing about Fader that catches one’s attention is that he doesn’t – at least he doesn’t when he is sitting still and not speaking. Fader is not the most striking individual when you meet him – he is not tall, and he is otherwise unremarkable in appearance. That said, his physical appearance makes his skills all the more impressive. I have met few, if any, people who could strike up conversations so easily, and I have met pick-up instructors before. I should add that his skills extended well beyond the realm of pick-up. He just seemed to know how to deal with people.

An example - during the first night, we met what I would have to say was a “9” or a “10” waiting outside the ladies room at a karaoke bar. Fader managed to start a conversation with her in what seemed to me to be a very awkward setting. Not only did Fader manage to keep her interested in the conversation, when he attempted to leave, she wouldn’t let him! I should add that we saw him do this again and again. Fader ’s skill in dealing with people is, to say the least, something remarkable.

Fader ’s talents as an instructor are no less impressive. He understands the needs of his students. He understands their inhibitions. I should add that it was obvious that he genuinely cared that his students got as much out of the experience as possible. He insisted that we get more than our moneys worth in terms of his time and attention. He went out of his way to address our particular needs, and on the final day, he let us choose the modules that we thought would be the most helpful for us.

Fader gives his students a ton of material. Months after the bootcamp , I am still going over my notes and still trying to absorb it all.

I went into the program thinking that my schedule wouldn’t permit me to stay for all of it, or so I thought. Once we got started, however, I realized that Fader was the real deal, and I made it a point to stay for all of it. The program really exceeded my expectations in a lot of different ways.

Fader , thanks for a great bootcamp ! I hope that I will see you around.
