Thread: The Don & Braddock Bootcamp - LA, June 2008 (with Prestige, Dahunter & Kisser)

First off, totally worth my money. Had a great time. Also, if you ever get a chance to go to a workshop in the SoCal area, I HEAVILY recommend it... we had a LOT of extra instructors for both the seminar session and outings... through the weekend, we had seminar , field, or both from : Braddock , The Don , Savoy , Prestige , DaHunter , and Kisser. We literally had almost as many coaches in the field as students, so they were always pushing us and pushing us - which is why I was here.

Came into town for this (I signed up just days before, and really only started exploring the community a few week ago after reading The Game a few times in a row). I was skeptical at first, but it came down to decided I needed to change something - and at 30, it was probably the internal wiring of how I dealt with the opposite sex.

Atmosphere was laid back, and friendly. Had a diverse group of guys that were really cool. Braddock taught the first day and we ended up going 2 hours over just working on opening , theories, and a lot of the psychological aspect of females, and the AFC shit that we had been conditioned to for our lives. The classroom was energetic (having read the free part of Magic Bullets before I showed up helped, kind of like perusing Cliffs Notes of a book - not all the meat, but enough wavetops so you can keep up easily.) Ran some practices first, then had to scramble to get our shit together in time to hit the club by 10.

Loud meatmarket. Awesome. First thing I found out was that I am a direct opener type of guy. It's just my style. So we all warmed the room up, got social, started hitting sets, just focusing on opening and transitioning . OK if you run out of things to say (which happened a time or two). But even when the place was packed later, the energy was fucking amazing. It was like we owned the club, and everyone was on the same team. Really made me think about my normal running buddies, and how they constantly DLV me and the rest of the group in the name of "good ol male ball busting" and realizing what fucking idiots we were.

Kisser introduced me to a HB9 that I had already direct opened earlier, she had a unique name, so I said it before he could finish the intro. At this point I had opened 10 or so sets, so I chilled with her for a while... which led to dancing, escalating kino , isolation, a few heavy make out sessions... only to get nailed by logistics and luck. She was in town staying at her cousins (who drove and wouldn't let her go), plus her mother was visiting and staying at the same place too - and she didn't want to not be there when her mom woke up. Which sucks because I had the deal sealed. But, number collected, we'll see.

Next day class rolled into the whole model. We focused a lot on attraction and qualification after the recap of the previous night. More analysis of how the attraction ladder breaks down in the mind of a chick. Started hitting on games, how to DHV, qualify , kino better... a walkthrough of the entire thing from opening to the make out or number (which was our goal for the 2nd night).

Had more time that night, so changed, got dinner while reading over my notes, and hit venue #2. This time it was more of a laid back bar, but still packed. A bunch of us beat the instructors there, so by the time they walked in they already saw us warming up the room and in sets... it was classic. I opened about 15 sets that night, and ended up getting some early flirting/kino with one of the waitresses who was a HB8... and she kept fucking with me the entire night, even when I was in sets. Very physical chick, so I made her my goal (hired gun, was a little advanced so I got Prestige 's and The Don 's advice on how to work it - basically be seen with chicks the entire night, kinoing, laughing.. make her jealous she's on the clock). During the course I reopened a pair with Kisser coming in as wing and ended up having a girl completely into me... I had renamed her Mitch, made her my bodyguard,played a game with her, did awesome, could have escalated to comfort . But since I kind of had my eyes elsewhere, I blew it off... oh well. Chalk one up to learning.

Final day worked on wrap up, comfort , seduction (Braddock was pretty damed funny here, even slightly molested The Don ), phone game , and day game .

Okay, one quick point here - Kisser taught our Day Game piece. He might be qualified for this. Why? Because he was 20 minutes late... because he had just picked up a girl at whole foods. And when I say girl, I mean the one who won the national beauty pageant (you know the one I'm referring to... the BIG one... I'm just not type who or the pageant name so this post doesn't ping on a google search) several years ago. When he got to our class, she had already told him she did the pageant, but he googled her, and holy fucking shit. Almost like that story in The Game with the playmate, but he actually had her following him around the store at the end. I'm sold.

Overall, amazing weekend. Especially if you live in a large area - the network you'll build in the first few days is worth it. I've got a move coming up to SoCal, and I'm pumped, because not only did I rip out a lot of old wiring, but I realized the lifestyle change I'm about to implement. Our group was great, a lot of quick learners and team players, multiple hookups this weekend, and shitloads of learning and paradigm breaking. So much simply came from them pushing me farther than I go.

Nice review man! It was a great weekend indeed.

My story goes, I've always done decent within my social circle pulling girls. Mostly because of my sarcastic humor , social status and decent looks. I've never been able to cold approach, it really scared the shit out of me. I'm also mainly a college bar type guy, and bigger clubs really intimidate me.

In regards to the material, none of it was earth shattering or anything like that to me because I had read a decent amount, but I pulled 4-5 really key points out of it that I never had thought of which is well worth it.

The biggest revelations for me

- I always had the image in my head of the instructors walking into a bar and just closing the hottest fucking girls right away. Not like that at all. Seeing all these guys in action made me realize how many sets these guys approach a night. If you approach 10 sets and get 2 numbers, thats a hell of a night! This really clicked with me on the BC...

- Body language is so key. On day one when we went over body language on the openers it was incredible to see how Braddock nitpicked everything we did from stance to voice projection to smile. Light bulbs were goin off everywhere for me. I need to smile a lot more

- Kino escalating. Good lord, you can kino so much faster than I thought. This is something I definitely want to play with and get down.

- Warm up sets. This is flat out genius. When you get there, and throughout the night when you're feeling down just go talk or high five like 5 people. You'll be amazed at how much it helps get you back into the talking mode.

- Owning the room. Kisser made me realize this on the first night. Even when its 3 guys in a group people were always looking at him. He works the whole bar like I've never seen. It's so crucial and it works...

- You dont need 30 minutes of attraction . I think this was my problem on the second night. I had attraction built in 3-4 sets, but just kept trying to build attraction instead of qualifying the girl... Killed the sets

- I learned how to transition. Its so easy, but never knew what to do before and it would make me seem like a creep with nothing to say right after I opened them...

- If I can do this in LA, I can do it anywhere. One of the reasons I came to LA for this was because of how much clubs and high energy bars intimidate me. After being in LA, it was eye opening to see how many guys are approaching girls out here. Back home, Im gonna get far just on balls alone, because no one approaches girls....

The instructors

Braddock - Braddock is a very high energy guy. He's tall, pretty well built and just has a ton of confidence... He helped a lot in the field with pushing us and critiquing what we were doing. Being in the field with them helps immensely...

The Don - The Don ran the seminar on day two. I have a feeling his style is very under the radar. He's really good at talking and you can tell he has his life together.

Kisser - Kisser taught me a ton when it came to energizing the room. Everytime he's in set, he's energizing them (even if its just dudes). He also is very good at social proofing himself. He walks through the bar all night with girls on his arm. Even if he's not getting with them it spikes his social proof like crazy. His energy also helped me see how much more I need to crank up my energy when in the bar...

Prestige - Very laid back, cool guy. He helped me a lot with some ideas on gaming hired guns . He has some great body language too, I wish I would have watched him in set a bit more...

DaHunter - ha very cool guy who has a really laid back style. He's really good at making the conversation sexual very quickly. I learned a lot from watching how fast he escalated on certain girls...


Overall

This was a great weekend. I was incredibly nervous that I would be in a room full of nerds and creeps when I got here. Totally not the case. All of these guys are cool and laid back guys I would hang out with at home. We all just know we want to improve our lives in all areas, and this is a crucial part of it. I felt like the biggest loser in the world when I was entering my credit card info to pay for the bootcamp . I couldn't believe I was paying to learn how to pick up women. Just put your ego out of the way and do it...

There's so much you can learn from the bootcamp , I highly recommend taking it. I've learned a lot, and most importantly made some new friends.

This was a make-up weekend for me. I attended the LA bootcamp a few months ago but had to bail on the second evening due to an emergency. It was easy to arrange picking up where I left up. Kudo's to Jeremy and the office staff. You guys rock.

Let's just say I hit the ground running by coming in the second night. Within 15 minutes I isolated a Brazilian chick (mid 30's, a solid 7) and by the time the instructors got there I was into heavy kino . Kiss closed with no problem and didn't even make it half way around the bar with a few more openers before I locked in solid with a two set (early 30's) at the bar. Just took a stroll through the progression model, locked into the hotter one and had solid IOI's and started some heavy kino . Grabbed Braddock to wing so I could isolate and it was golden. It's nice to have a wing you know will keep the distractions to a minimum so you can transition through qualification and into comfort . When her friend finally threw in the towel an hour later and had to go and I extracted myself from my HB’s clutches, she grabbed my phone and spent five minutes putting in all of her information so I would have "no excuse" not to get a hold of her. She's been texting me solid for four days now, had to a chance to practice phone game and we're set for Day 2 this Friday. She insisted that it be close to my place, I wonder why?

Classroom Day 3 - Comfort and Seduction

Braddock led most of the class and as usual, he left his ADD meds at home and crammed 10 hours of information into half that time. When does that guy rest? If he ever stops teaching boot camps they'll have to extend them another two days.

Kisser's Whole Foods escapades were the basis of his Day Game section. Classic.

Prestige - Nice to see you again. Nice low key game. They never knew what hit them. More my style, it's nice to see you in the mix.

Da Hunter - sick. Ok, I said it. sick. I have never seen anyone go from eye contact to instant attraction faster. Remind me to never let my nieces out when you're in town. Luckily no one has ever told you that in LA some women actually pay for it. If you knew that you'd never leave.

The Don - Jedi Master. Others are mere Padawans in comparison.

Now for the real reason for this post. Like the title of the post says, I'm over 50 . If you're an older guy, you're probably thinking like I was - "This may be great for younger guys, but I'm too old. The age is too big of an obstacle to achieve the results I want."

Ask any of the instructors if the girls I was pulling were quality women, not past their prime bar scags, and they will tell you. These women were hot, athletic, serious with their careers and far better than I could pull when I was their age. A twenty year gap was easily overcome. I won't blow smoke up your ass and tell you you'll have success at the rate the younger guys armed with the same information are having, but so what. Just open more sets and some WILL stick. Better than sitting at home watching reruns of CSI and hoping some new single woman will be hired at work so you can meet her. Best of all, if you seek out advice in the field these guys will show you how you can move set to set and never seem like a creepy old guy, just the life of the party out having some fun with his friends. All you have to do is keep opening , having fun and waiting for those IOI's. When you get them, pounce with your new found knowledge and remember what it felt like 20 to 30 years ago when it happened by chance and you never knew what you were doing.

So if you're wondering if the bootcamps really work, just look over at that grey haired guy with young girls laughing all around him and remember, you may just be looking at me. Get your Choaddy ass off the bar stool and sign up.

1st: This girl was easily a 7. After seeing what you are capable of, I will never allow guys to give me any bullshit excuses on bootcamp . Watching you in set was inspirational to the other students and to the instructors as well. Glad you came man!

2nd: I may have to increase my dosage or we are never going to finish seminar on time. lol

3rd: Bootcamp is getting insane! I can't believe we had 4 guys out of 7 get laid on one bootcamp . I knew this group was absorbing the information when I walked in the bar on Saturday and I couldn't find a student because everyone was already in set. It feels good when we see guys get those kind of results in such a short period of time.
