Last November I took a
boot camp and its been a heck of a fun ride ever since.
But there has been something that has been bugging me lately. My game (at least to me) feels inefficient. For example, when I talk to women it feels like I'm going forward and just not as smoothly as it should be. It almost feels like I'm taking one or two steps forward - then stepping to the right - then to left - then forward again when I go through the
LS / MM model with a girl. Granted I'm moving forward - things just seem disorganized and incongruent.
So with that in mind - I decided to sign up with a phone consult with
Fader. The decision on who to choose was easy - if you look at the Forum - he has amazing reviews all over the place. But if you really want to know exactly what the reasons are - I decided to talk to
Fader because every student mentioned 1) that he always went above and beyond the call of duty while trying to help the students 2) he had a really cool / friendly vibe 3) his 37 plus personal reviews probably means that he's not a rookie when it comes to working with people over the phone or in person.
Ok...onto the review.
After talking to
Fader - I decided to break up my one hour time slot into 3 twenty minute consults (I highly recommend it). Each consult would focus on one problem - with a bit of time for Q/A around the previous weeks session.
My sessions covered the following topics
Inner Game
Now while I don't think I have
inner game problems - I knew from other students that
Fader had an "interesting" take on
inner game. So we started off with that. Now while nothing he said was earth shattering (don't forget - I took a
boot camp last November) - it was nice to hear the key concepts again. It was almost like an "oh yeah - I forgot all about that..." session.
Openers
I have to start this section by stating that at first I didn't really thing that I had problems with my openers but luckily
Fader helped me fix my (what I thought was) a non-existant problem.
During my
boot camp I used 2 different opinion openers to basically open every single set and easily transition into attraction. But for some reason - somewhere through night two of the
boot camp - I decided that opinion openers were cheesy and I stopped using them.
Since then I've been using a mix of joke, and situational openers for about 90% of my openers. Every once in awhile I would use an opinion opener with amazing success (for some reason - if the opinion opener goes well - its much easier to start vibing in attraction).
That being said - even with my joke and situational openers, sets were still opening - they were just dying very quickly. So in my head - I thought that my problem must have been with my attraction material.
Luckily even though I wasn't planning on talking about Openers -
Fader was smart enough to ask me what Openers I was using. For some reason - once he asked me to tell him what they were - I realized
DAMN - my openers suck.. After hearing my situational openers -
Fader was cool enough to explain to me why situational openers suck (you can't use them that often) and then he gave me two Opinion openers and one direct opener to use. I have a feeling that my sets will go much better knowing that
Fader has helped me get away from situational openers
Attraction
Ok...here's where it gets interesting. Most of my attraction material in the past has consisted of
LS / MM "canned" material mixed in with a whole lot of bantering. Now while the canned material is fun - it really doesn't get you anywhere. The same thing can basically be said about witty bantering. Bantering will get you some attraction pretty quickly but its way too easy to end up in a verbal joust with a girl, or worse end up crossing the line and becoming an assh***.
So
Fader helped to explain how there is short and long attraction game. One consists of short spouts of bantering and canned material and the other consists of longer
DHV stories to keep her off balanced and interested in you (I hope I got that right).
He helped to explain how I should balance the two. Since then I've been working to create my own long attraction game material.
Overall Thoughts
I really like the phone consult with
Fader - in fact - I liked it so much that I plan to buy one hour every month or so for the next few months to help me push my game forward.
Here are something’s that I really like about
Fader and the whole setup
- he's totally friendly - it almost feels like you're talking to an older brother
- he always checks in with you to see if you understand the topic
- he'll actually make you tell him your material to see if its any good (basically - it forces you to actively participate in getting better)
- he gives very clear examples of what he is talking about
- he is able to word "key
LS / MM concepts" in a very clear way (I know why situational openers are horrible but for some reason when he said it - it just clicked)
- His "take" on the
LS / MM is very clear and interesting
For anyone wondering about whether to sign up for a phone consult. I would totally recommend it (heck - I'm calling Jeremy this week to pay for next month's session).
