This is a review of the May 11th
Bootcamp in Chicago.
The lead instructor was
Tenmagnet
There were five instructors or approach coaches in total including: Salem, Kid44,
DaHunter, and Levo. Reviews of my experience with each instructor are below.
First off, the instructor to student ratio was extremely good. We happened to have five coaches for six bootcampers. So everyone got tons of one-on-one, but I don't think that happens a lot, it just wound up that way because of scheduling. Lucky me, I probably had at least 2.5 hours total actually in-set with a pro
wing over the whole weekend, so I was happy. This is in addition to the feedback from set's I did solo with a coach watching.
The main value was seeing these guys actually do the stuff. They say and do the same things you read in
Magic Bullets, and on the net. But the difference between reading about it and seeing it is like the difference between reading a description of the color orange, and actually seeing the color orange. For the most part, they are way more playful and dynamic than I expected, and do waaaaaay more
kino than I was doing before the
BC.
My background is that I've been in
the game for several years, so I got a lot out of the
BC. I've long SS for which I've been to a few
seminars, and one JM
bootcamp. This blew them both away, but in all fairness, having those experiences coming in surely made this
BC that much more valuable. But frankly, pre-
BC, I had just gotten sick of running into other MM guy's at my lair and other places, and see them do way better in field than I was doing.
A major heads up is COME READY TO PLAY boys. If you are still struggling with
approach anxiety, these highly paid pro's will spend the time to help you learn to open sets. But please man, if you are going to drop this kind of cash, F-ing figure out the basics before you show up, because they can just as easily spend the same amount of time to take you a whole lot further if you can consistently open when you show up. What's the difference? You are going to have to open a Sh!tLoad of sets after the
BC to get really good anyway, so get started beforehand.
A quick fast forward, post-
seminar, I feel like I'm reaching that
tipping point where the set's are more and more fun, and I get off work and can't wait to go sarging. Post
BC, I have had three dates, and have had to shuffle my schedule around because I am heavy into newbie mission type stuff and enjoying it.
Ok, here are the instructor reviews.
Tenmagnent
That dude can talk. He laid it down solid throughout the whole
seminar, and then led the charge in field. In the
seminar room he went through all the theory and threw in TONS of specific examples and I always felt like (a) I knew exactly where I was coming from, and (b) This guy has a TON of experience sarging. He had lot's of specific examples that made sense.
His best quality is hard to describe. It was something along the lines that he is very intuitive, and had a knack for drilling right into the heart of whatever issue the student was expressing or struggling with. He didn't pull any punches and told the guy's in explicit terms exactly what they needed to change or how to look at things in a way to move them forward. I got the sense that it was like that Tom Berringer 80's cowboy comedy movie "Rustlers Rhapsody" where the main character rides into town, and he can tell the
future because the exact same sh!t happened in every other cowboy movie town. Tenmagnent seems like the kind of guy who has done a lot of
seminars, and knows what the issues are and how to fix them.
His interpersonal presentation is extremely smooth and charismatic. He is very "socially calibrated" to use a cliché. And you get the feeling like just hanging out with the guy for a couple of days shooting the sh!t would up your game.
KID44
Man that dude is OUT there in his own world. I loved it. He showed up fresh off the plane from Japan, rocking the painted nails with little jewels on them and some sharp ass grey three piece suit with a candy stripe tie. Shaved bald, with a jigsaw chin beard and no ‘stache. A tad mechanical at times, he comes off like a master tactician who had some technical basis for every move he made. He told a story about sitting at the table when Bandler wrote the very first NLP
seduction patterns, although he says that now with MM, he never uses NLP. The guy was inspiring in that he really seems to be living proof that you really can define your reality exactly how you want to. By his own account, and photographic evidence, it seems KID44 spends an inordinate amount of time defiling the various orifices of a
platoon of bisexual Japanese chicks.
He seemed battle tested in the
seminar, but this became battle proven on day two of the in-field where he
AMOG'D some Drunk-Psycho-Built-Like-A-Brick-Sh!t-House black dude. (Apologies for the stereotype to the brothas reading this.) The guy was about 300 pounds, and had another big friend with him. He walked up to KID44's table and with no explanation, shoved two 6'2"+
seminar attendees aside as-if they were fourth graders, and then attempted to physically extract KID44's black HB target, who was happily in
C2 with KID44 at the time. As Tenmagnent explained the next day, big black dudes don't like it when skinny white guy's in red derby hat's are gaming the hottest black chick in the bar. I'll let KID44 post about it if he choses, but suffice to say, he shut the dudes down, and they just walked away.
DaHunter- This guys was super smooth, young, good looking, seems like he probably started from a pretty good point naturally, but I don't know. He chose his words wisely, and everything that he said was dead on and too the point, revealing the fact that he is very technically proficient. In set, he uses TONs of disqualifiers, basically tooling on the girls, and even threatening to kick her ass, but doing it with well timed
kino and such a playful vibe that he get’s
attraction from it. (How’s THIS for a
neg guy’s “I’ll kick your ass!”
DaHunter makes it work.) He gave me tons of personal feedback from watching my set's and
winging with me. He perhaps gave me my first big breakthrough feedback by pointing out how little I was
kino'ing. Then I started watching the MM instructors and it was a bit of a revelation that they initiate
kino within a few seconds and within five minutes are practically all over the chicks in a natural way. He also gave me the feedback on locking in, which I hardly ever did before, but now do as soon as possible.
The coolest thing I saw him do was on the first night, he was
winging with me. I had opened this seated two set of two of the hotter chicks in the venue.
DaHunter's critique later was that I was just standing there, not locked in, zero
kino, asking questions, just draining value by the minute going nowhere. It was at that point that
DaHunter comes in. Before I can even introduce him he starts running solid Attract game on the chick for about 2 minutes, get's ton's of
IOI's, and spikes her
attraction. THEN, he passes her back to me, reaches to the table behind us, shoves two people out of the way, takes a chair from their table, shoves the chair between HB and the wall and puts me in the chair, all nice and locked in, and then walks off. The whole rest of the sarge had a different (better) tenor after that point. It was like some sort of magic trick.
Salem - This guy was SUPER cool, with happy go lucky, great energy. According to Tenmagnent, every time he goes out in his home of Montreal, he get's chick that wants to be his girlfriend. He come's off like a guy that you would want to introduce to your sister, but in reality is a for-real Closer. I spent lot's of one-one one with him and had many fun set's. It's so cool having a pro
wing because you realize that whatever comes up the guy knows how to handle it, who to disarm, giving you feedback. It was just fun. Again this guy comes off very socially calibrated and has great charisma. Has a party vibe in set, but will then later break down step-by-step what happened in a linear fashion.
Levo - I only sarged with him a little bit, but it was very helpful. By the time we sarged together I was working on isolation. In that set he gave me a specific example of exactly how to do it, and an example what to say and do, and what not to do. I also spent a lot of time just watching him in set, and learned a lot from everyone.
Overall, I give the
BC my highest possible recommendation. My biggest recommendation is to come ready to play.
Results. I got an awesome makeout in the bar the first night with one of the cutest chicks at the bar. She was hot and tall, which I love. It was funny because before the kiss she asked me not to light the cigarette that I was holding, but afterwards, she wanted to light it up and share it with me. Since the
BC, I've been terrorizing the streets of Chicago several times a week. Sarging is more fun, my
inner game has a big boost, not from any particular
inner game techniques, I just feel better about sarging after doing it around guys that are really good. Most of all I love MM because although
the game is not linear, you can breakdown the MM/EPM steps into a linear fashion for analysis, correct your course, and move ahead.
I am also more selective because it's easy to get more numbers that you can competently follow up on, especially when you are doing newbie mission post
BC. At times I get fed up post
BC, from doing so many set's but then I step back and realize that every couple of days, I have fun interaction with a hot dateable chick, and realize that I am making more progress.
Other observations: these guy's still push the envelope. They are constantly trying new things. Whether it's using his
IPOD during sarges in the bar or, refining ways to reward her for exhibiting bad-girl behaviour, these guys are still seemingly working almost as hard as the guy's doing the newbie mission, just probably having a lot more fun.
