Fader Bootcamp Review, Atlanta, Dec. ‘09
Initially, I had some reservations about spending so much money for the
bootcamp, but after just Day 1, I already knew it was going to my best investment yet. Just like everybody else says,
Fader will start early and stay late for the
seminar portion, just so that he can teach you as much as possible. He goes above and beyond minimal expectations in teaching, not only in giving you extra time, but also in his content. He’ll supplement the basic
Love Systems model with what he’s learned from social psychology and what works from other systems. On Day 3, we got the opportunity to vote for modules, which were short mini-lectures about special topics, such as
day game,
phone game, etc.
As an educator, I appreciated
Fader tailoring the in-field training to everyone’s personal skill level. For me, that was just getting over
approach anxiety and merely
opening. He set realistic and achievable short-term goals that were individually tailored and helped us to build positive referential experiences, which in turn, boosted our confidence and
inner game, thereby laying the foundations for
future growth towards our long-term goals. It was also inspiring to see my more experienced classmates improve their game.
Although I discovered that “night game” just wasn’t my thing (I don’t like loud night clubs, nor do I smoke, and I rarely drink alcohol), the in-field training was still invaluable, forcing me to apply what I could from what I’ve learned. Afterwards,
Fader gave us a play by play commentary while in set. I couldn’t believe it! It was like giving your strategy away to the other team while you were playing them. But his delivery was so suave that she was clearly showing interest to him.
For a novice like myself, the
bootcamp opened by eyes to a new level of social understanding about why women behave the way they do. It’s been over a week since the
bootcamp and I’m still assimilating and digesting the information. From the
seminars, I’ve gotten enough “homework” for a whole year’s worth of self-improvement.
