Thread: Money and Pick up Artists

I had some talks about this with friends and some girls so i want to know how puas see this matter and how they handle it. Say you go out with a girl for just a coffee. Who pays? You do go again out who pays? You are in a relationship, who pays?
I will tell you about my expiriences and talks i had with girls etc but first i dont want to get into specifics I just want to know how you handle this matter. And ofcourse how u interpret the whole interactions based on matters like that.
Keep in mind that this is also a cultural thing so it would be really helpful if u could state where you live.

If I like a girl i always offer to pay. Especially on dates. During a pickup once she likes me I will buy her a drink if I am getting one (social intelligence). Big difference between paying because you want or paying for someones time.

First date since i take them out for drinks I pay (especially since I drink straight vodka and it is 15 a drink in nyc), i expect them to show social intelligence and leave the tip.

Relationships I pay more but this is because I make decent money and date youngr girls. This might change since I will be broke after I get my mortage.

^That's why I only date super-petite girls, $15 dollars and they're sauced.

I know some petite girls that'll drink you under the table. Be careful what you ask for.


Anyway if I ask her out then I pay. That's my rule. If she says lets go to dinner tonight then it's dutch. Coffee is not a big deal at all. Its less than $2 a cup.

Ive had plenty of girls offer to buy me dinner just to go hang out. That's compliance! If you can get a girl to do you favors she'll be more receptive to physical advances later.

I know this is a cool topic and all, and Fader has some great points, but the fact of the matter is that it really doesn't matter.


Of course, show social intelligence by either a) buying the drink or b) leaving the tip, but as far as picking her up goes... it's not that important which you do as long as you do one.

That wasnt his question. His question was in a relationship. I misunderstood also.

The tip thing was great. But how you let her know about it? If you give a 20 euro bill and the bill is 18 obviously u can hand the tip yourself. Wont it be awkward to ask her to leave tip?
As for my story... While I was talking with a girl (not sarging, a friend of mine, beautiful but too much drama for my taste), she told me she was instructed from her home to never pay when she goes out with a man (she d make the move but knew she wouldnt pay), and in all her relationships she never paid once for everything. All the men told her that they ll pay for everything and they did. Drinks, vacations, etc. Personally I wouldnt do it because I dont feel like i have to spend my money to cover some inner game shit. Ofcourse as you all said when u invite you pay, and I have also had girls pay for me but still this is a bit weird.
I also had girls told me that a man should always pay in the first date etc and this is a deal breaker or whatever. I never gave this much importance in it. I mean its all nice when girls ask for guys to treat em as equals but this looks like a selected equallity. Anyway it made me think about the whole concept thats why i posted the question.
