what does it mean when a woman looks at you with the corner of her eye?

You talk to a woman. The conversation ends and she leaves. As she walks past you she looks at you with the corner of her eye and keeps walking. I have seen this happen so many times I am inclined to think it means something.
Do they think they look sexy or 'mysterious' when they look at you with the corner of their eye? Am I reading too much into this body language or does this mean something?

From the hip, she's either assessing you as a threat or giving you an IOI. Give us an environment and a tone of conversation. [do you get this after getting blown out of set in a bar? Do you get this after ejecting during A2 in day game? etc]

It could mean she's creeped out by you and wants you to stop staring at her.

I should have done a better job explaining. I don't mean like 'after getting blown out of a set in a bar', etc. I don't see it as a rejection. It's more like, when you are done flirting with her, and she leaves, and if she walks past you as she is leaving, then she looks at you with the corner of her eye for a fraction of a second the moment she is at your side. The set up needs to be the right one of course.
The tone of the conversation is friendly. Possibly occurring during A2 or A3.
I have seen this exact scenario happen millions of times. It ought to mean something.
Here, I even made a diagram..

I`m going with, that anyone will do it, to keep you in their visual field til they feel comfortable knowing you have left the vicinity.

Well, if that's what it means, then it is kind of rude. Do women think you don't notice when they look at you with the corner of their eye? It's just, well, too contrived, to be a natural defense mechanism. It's like they want to communicate something with that look. But what? Sort of like saying "look at me, I am looking at you with the corner of my eye, it must mean I am up to something, I am mysterious, sexy, whatever"

make it your mission to ask one of these chicks what going on with that move.
    maybe it`s slight IOI..
