If a girl you know starts calling you "sweetie"?

This girl I've known for the past 9 months as friends started calling me "sweetie" recently. Not sure what to make of this. It started happening after I told her that I really liked hanging out with her and that we should grab dinner and a movie sometime. It's weird because it's been completely platonic so far, but we get along great. "Sweetie" to me seems kinda condescending or something you call someone you're already married to. She doesn't call other dudes this either.

so what should I make of this?

this female bartender can call you sweetie without showing any emotions. on the other hand, this girl you like just says 'hey' with sweet and seductive smile.
    how would you take those?

so don't pay too much attention to what she says. pay attention to how she looks at you, how she cuddles with you things like that.
Just hangout with her, read her body language and go for the kill (kiss)

Above is good advice. They say that speech makes up only a very little part of communication, where as tone and body language etc are super important. Theres a really good pdf online about body language. I think its 'the definitive book on body language'.

Agreed. This is an "actions speak louder than words" situation.
