About having fun and state control

I realized this last night at MJQ.
There are things we should do and should not do at a venue. One of them is that we should have fun and our own party, whether we go out together or alone. The problem occurs, however, when we don't have fun. We try to stand in a closed circle, to seem to have great conversation and to seem to be having fun.
But, I found this as wrong.
What we should focus on is not to SEEM to be having fun, but to FIND how to have fun. How about testing a crazy opener to a set? How about a contest? How about experimenting a new tactic? Scott's 'let's open every set while me cruising clockwise and you anti-clockwise' was fun, regardless whether we made it or not.
Sarging should be fun in itself. It should not be labor. Having fun every night. But, the problem appears when all of us don't approach due to approach anxiety, standing in a closed circle and focusing on how to appear cool.
In this situation, let's admit that we are not having fun and that we should do something else to make it more pleasant. Let's find a way for us to feel better, not to just 'pretend' to be cool.

Exactly. The whole point of social proof with other guys is to look like you're MORE FUN than the guys she is with. Unless theres some indications that the conversation in your man circle is just absolutely great you wont get approached.

Power is refering to a idea I had to get over BOTH our AA at the sametime. It was very mentally tasking to open sets consecutively and I almost lost my voice at the end of the night from just two sets.
Feeling as if my voice was going to go out talking last night troubled me. If KISS can perform rock concerts with hours of singing why can't I perform for sets all night?? It's because I literally haven't been in consecutive sets in WEEKS and it shows.

Ah, just for the record, Hadfunlastnight and I had fun last night. I thought about that post while I was struggling with approach anxiety, alone.

Post bootcamps, I have fallen off the wagon as well. My motivation is low and inner game is weak right now although its also b/c I have a lot of other stuff going on - I finally realized I've been ignoring work too much, upcoming move to Chicago, trying to sell a lot of my stuff, getting my bodyfat down to 10-12%.
On the bright side, I got a phat apt. on the 19th floor in Chicago - walking distance to about 20 bars and 4 blocks from 2 beaches and the lake. Also a rooftop pool - so anyone is welcome to visit anytime...its about the most target rich environment you could ever want.
If anyone has a good way to refocus my inner game/PUA, let me know. I think day game is going to be my focus for awhile.

DUDE I'm going through the same thing! It's like you get back and for some reason you realize you have a life. I've got to talk to you to get your experience, I remember when I was telling you about mine. I hate this "lull," but it just means we have to push ourselves that much harder. Congrats on the apartment!
