Thought I'd start a topic documenting places to sarge in Bangkok. I'm only here for a little while longer, but who knows... it seems that everyone passes through Thailand at some point or other.

Daygame
Siam Paragon - still one of the best places to pick up in my opinion. Lots of cute girls all dressed-up to go out shopping. Most of the girls (and some of the guys) are dressed as if they were going out to a trendy nightclub. Lots of promo girls too. Chances are they speak some English.

Siam Square - opposite Paragon. The local's version of the mall, plenty of girls, especially in the afternoon. Most of it's outdoors, so heat may be a problem.

Other Siam Venues (Discovery & Siam Center) - Like Paragon, but fewer people.

Central Chitlom- Department store. Haven't really tried picking up there recently.

MBK Center - Stay away from here unless you like overweight tourists. There is the occasional cute middle-eastern girl, if you can get through her accompanying parents.

Chulalongkorn University campus - Girls everywhere. In form-fitting schoolgirl blouses and short miniskirts. And heels. Good place if you manage to catch 1 or 2 girls walking by themselves, good luck trying to work the big groups during the day though. Be careful of security.

Thammasat University & surrounding area - IMO the girls in this area are hotter than anywhere else and from what I've heard are a lot more 'liberal' too. Haven't really spent a lot of time around there though.

Central World Plaza - I used to think Paragon was better. But if you go at the right time (like 5pm onwards) there seem to be lots of cute girls around and promotional events (with promo girls) happening.

BTS Skytrain / platforms - No I'm not kidding. There always seem to be cute girls waiting for trains or on the trains themselves everyday. Just be wary of which stop she has to get off at.

Silom Business District - If you like ladies in their late 20s/30s, then this is the place for you. I haven't been to happy hour here but have been told it's good. There always seem to be people walking everywhere around lunchtime though. By far the highest concentration of HBs in that age range I've seen anywhere in Bangkok.

Nightgame
Nana (the area) - if you like ladyboys, bargirls or freelancers this is where you go.

Soi Cowboy @ Asok - if you like Gogo bars, this is where you go.

Jet @ Thong Lor - very crowded, very packed when I went. Too loud to talk. I guess you could try bumping into some sets close to where they set up your drinks. Outside was better, but most of the girls were in sets of 5 or more people.

[u]Narcissus @ Sukhumvit 60-something[u] - the swankiest club I've been to in Bangkok. Huge venue with balconies and a massive dance floor. Not a lot of people, and lots of people coming in pairs or threes (as opposed to the normal 7+ groups). VERY loud techno music. Like "can't talk in the toilets" and "ears ringing for 20 minutes afterwards" loud. Insanely hot girls, some tripped out on ya-ba or something. 500 baht club entry gets you 3 drinks. THEY DO NOT SERVE NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS (except water). Also pretentious as fuck as half the people wear sunglasses.

Hard Rock Cafe @ Siam - whoever told me that university students used to go here to freelance and hang out was wrong. Nothing but working girls (and ugly ones at that).

RCA (Royal City Avenue) @ middle of fucking nowhere - An absolutely massive entertainment area with lots of clubs and bars. Locals tell me there are only 2 clubs worth going to here: Slims & Route 66 (808 is opening in December '07). I've been to Route 66. The music is loud, but you can still talk if you pull girls in. Very crowded though, and there's no dance floor. The quality seems to be mixed, ranging from the extremely hot to the (insert derogatory adjective here).

Blog 9 @ Ekkamai - Pretty cool venue. Slightly worse than other places in terms of male:female ratio, but not very crowded, very easy to walk around and not as loud as other places. Quite a lot of people there speak basic amounts of English too. Mostly 20-35 year old Thais partying. It's also quite easy to get the lounge chairs if you go early enough (9/10pm).

Miscellaneous Notes
Every club (except Narcissus) that I've been to is table-service, and you order by the bottle. Thai people go out in big groups, crowd around bottles of booze and drink. There is very little mingling or socialising as you see in the west. According to one of my Thai female friends: "Yeah, you only talk to people who are standing close to you."

You can find bargirls (girls who are hired to sit in or dance in bars and entertain male patrons) and hookers almost everywhere. I've seen them everywhere from dive bars to high-end clubs. But I figure that most of us aren't after these sorts of girls.

Language can be a problem. Surprisingly, most non-working Thai girls speak some English, but just aren't confident enough to hold a conversation using it. All the bar girls I've spoken to speak amazing English (part of their job description I guess).

I've heard that online socialising is a big part of the way Thai people meet each other. I'm still testing out some sites for online game here, and working through the kinks. Will post more when I have more information.
