Default Cincinnati, OH Locations

Since no one else has started one for us, I guess I'll start posting this weekend. This will probably take a while, so I will be doing them a little at a time.

Default Northside Tavern

4163 Hamilton Avenue in Northside. While business is usually slow during the week, this is definitely one of my favorite local places on a Friday or Saturday night, usually packed elbow to elbow. It has that neighborhood bar feel to it, but people are from all over the city. Mostly female college-age crowd, so lots of choices to pick from and, for some reason, they all just seem so friendly . Interesting new acts play alongside local music veterans, while patrons are served up by some of the nicest bartenders and waitresses in the city. Prices are very reasonable. Great jukebox selection, pool tables and video games in a quieter back room, free live music (never a cover charge), comfy couches throughout, an Elvis shrine (?), and an outdoor area with fire pit. Really starts rockin' around 10.

I'm actually a fan of three places (I live in Oxford, but I go to Cinci quite often).

ANYWHERE at Newport on the Levee: With the best being -

Tropicana - Ladies are quite fly, guys are AFCs; It's almost too easy. Drink prices are a bit much, but there is a nice outdoor area and upper seating area to isolate. I've noticed that obeservational openers work well, and negs are super powerful on the hottest of chics in there because of so many AFCs complimenting them.

Bar Louie - Great Food, bar area's amazing for sarging from 11pm - close; Good place to practice set game. Lots of two and three sets at the bar, where I've practiced my lock-ins and running "game" type routines (5 questions, 3s n 7s, etc.) to great effect.

Claddagh - Excellent place to practice your hired guns game.

That's my start.

Mt. Adams Pavillion - Thurs, Fri, Sat from 12am - Close.

Massive amounts of sets to run, and with two floors plus outside area, you can isolate to the outside, and there are plenty of places to bounce when necessary.

Default The Poison Room

301 W. Fifth St., Downtown. After being threatened by a lawsuit by Johnny Depp's infamous LA night club Viper Room, this Cincinnati hot-spot changed its name to The Poison Room. With two spacious levels and a nifty rule against cover bands, this bar is ready-made for Cincinnati's burgeoning music scene. Throw in two bars, video screens playing vintage movies, big comfy couches and a hip, darker motif, and this is one of the best (and few) places downtown to catch good live music and to pick up insane amounts of good-looking women.

Default Palomino

505 Vine Street, Downtown. With its excellent upscale, full dining menu, Palomino caters mostly to business types during the day, but evening brings out a more diverse, younger crowd to try the half-price happy hour appetizers and the well-mixed (as in STRONG) drinks. If you aren't close enough to the windows to have a great view of Foutain Square, Palomino offers excellent people-watching, too. TV's throughout.
