NYC (night)

O.k., I'm sure there are a ton of good venues, but if any of you out there are from/around NYC.... how about some highlights from the city that never sleeps?

My reasoning: I'm moving to NYC from SF in a couple of months for school

NYC is going to be tough for an undergrad, especially when you're not 21. i'm not sure where you're going to go to school, but the nyu area is going to be your best option. union square, barnes and noble, tons of cafes, and 30,000 undergrads just walking around sums up the area. however, most bars here are college bars and dives where i've found picking up to be tougher. clubs have worked out much more favorably for me but ever since a 19 year old got drunk and went missing, each club is staffed with scanners that'll reject your favorite fake id. That being said, try Bar None on 3rd Avenue and 12th street.
