 Bartender/Waitress at bar I frequent
This is my first post, and I really need some advice. I'm still somewhat in AFC land but really trying to escape. So here's the deal...
There's this bartender/waitress at a bar that I go to. Asian HB8. A few weeks ago as she dropped off our drinks I used a canned opener on her just to test the waters (cashmere sweater from Style's The Annihilation Method videos). She was really into it and I was actually pretty surprised (obviously this stuff works). At any rate, I was in there a few days later and she came up to me (not even in her section) and asked how it went with my friend and what he ended up doing. I was totally taken off guard and just said I hadn't followed up with him, but she told me to let her know next time I was in. The next time I was in there she did shots with my buddies and I (she bought her own, we paid for ours). At this point I introduced myself by name to her. Next time I was in and she was working she again went out of her way to say hi to me, and at the end of the night the buddy I was with got us to pose for a picture.
I was there last week by myself as I was coming back from work late and figured I'd stop for a beer. Talked to her for a bit (she was working the bar that night so I sat there) and when I was done my beer she asked if I wanted anything else. Thinking "be cocky" I said "you could buy me a shot"... she sorta did a double take then smiled and said "well since you asked so nice" and proceeded to get shots for both of us. I thanked her for the shot and she said "all you have to do is ask".
This past Monday I was in there again with a buddy and a girl I was gaming (another asian HB8 who I f-closed that night, but that's another story). She (the waitress) had finished her shift and was eating at the bar. I told her she should come over and do a round of shots with us. She wasn't really into it and declined, but her coworkers talked her into it. However after about 10 mins she hadn't come by and we were ready to go, so on the way out I told her to cancel the order.
Wednesday I was in there with some work buddies and she was our waitress. I talked to her briefly, but was a little embarrassed about Monday so didn't say too much.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be in there a lot more. I'm just not really sure how to proceed at this point. I really haven't been negging, and I feel like if I start now it'll seem odd... but maybe that's the AFC in me coming out. I _think_ I could have # closed last Thursday, but I didn't. And again, not sure if the friendliness is standard hired gun stuff or more.
So the question is... what do I do now?  |
