# close gambit, weird result...

So, I'm gaming a hb9 hired gun and I've bee in this location four times now each time I've negged and been the exception. A couple of times she has actually sat down at the table (either because she is a good waitress or she is interested). One of the times actually ran the cube on her and got an 11 out of 10. So the third time I go in there this girl sitting at table next to us qualfies for the girl I'm gaming (ie shes single, smart, blah blah) and that I should get her number. My response was "eh, maybe Ive got nothing to lose." So before I went there the next time I came up with a phone close gambit based on mystery's number 1-10 gambit and "interesting thing about you" # close. It goes like this:

You: We need our checks/ close out, oh and bring a piece of paper and a pen I'm gonna show you another cool mind trick.
Her: Ok! (then she brings your ticket and a paper and a pen).
You: (wait for her to bring the idea of the trick up again) Ok here it is. I'm going to tell to do something and when I snap write your answer on the piece of paper. Got it?
Her: Ok.
You: (run the number between one and ten gambit).
Her: writes down the number.
You: (multistack) what do you got going for you more than your looks?
Her: (she qualifies) I'm blah blah blah.
You: (point to the piece of paper) 7. Now write down the first digit of your telephone number.
-note: you should know what area code you are in....
You: Can you cook?
Her: Yeah!
You: (say the first digit in the area code). This is too easy. You can write down the rest.
Her: (she writes down her number, easy enough?)


Ok so heres the deal. She wanted me to guess the rest of her number. I guessed her area code and the first digit in her cell number. But failed on the rest. After which she gives me the piece of paper with just 555-5_ _ -_ _ _ _ and she walked away. The funny thing is I never asked for the piece of paper, she just gave it to me. I ripped the number off of the top of the paper, went to throw my beer away right next to her and when she looked at me I threw the paper without the number on it away and smiled. We exchanged smiles as I walked out the door.

Now either she is really smart or playing games back because a smart hired gun would all ways leave the customer wanting more. If she is playing games back then the game is on!

Any thoughts on the subject or to improve the # close? Thanks for the insight.

I'm not sure I really get it... What is the mind trick, that you can guess her area code? I don't see how that's a mind trick, and obviously you cant just guess her whole number.

I think that was a shit test. I would have tried "Oh C'mon, your friend was telling me the other day how smart you were. You didnt forget it did you?"

Enkay, the mind trick was using "guess a number between one and ten" and she would write it down on that piece of paper knowing that she has to write something down. Then I multithreaded by getting her to qualify herself by asking what she had going for her more than her looks. Then i said "7" which is what she wrote down. Then i said write down the first digit in her telephone number and since i know what area code im in the answer is obvious. Then i responded im sure you could finish the rest.

SbRugby i handled the shit test by making her think i threw away the number because i never asked for it.

I'm gonna try to use jealousy this week by having one of my attractive girlfriends meet me up there. Ill let you know how it goes.
