Picking up a Bartender

I go to the same bar with my friends every Thursday for the drink specials. I noticed that this one particular bartender seems to always flirt with me and my friends even suggested the same thing without me asking them. Whenever I approach the bar she comes right to me first and serves me even if other people have obviously been waiting there longer. This is nice because the bar is very crowded and loud, but makes it almost impossible to talk to her. She obviously seems interested so I am wondering how to approach the situation from here. My friends have suggested writing my number on the tab but I figured that was a little too cliche and likely to get lost with the thousands of other receipts at the end of the night.

Yea don't write your number on the tab for the reasons you mentionned but also because it's her number you want, not the other way around. Can't you go to that bar at any other time when it won't be so busy?

I have thought about going to the bar at a less busy time but the bar kinda sucks except on thursdays so I can never get anyone to go with me any other day and I don't want to go without a wingman.

Go without a wingman, schedule them to show up later if you want, but you totally don't need a wingman for a bartender. In fact it may keep her AWAY from you, not wanting to interrupt your convo. If you must have a wingman, do an elongated solo approach, kind of like what is explained in the VAH, but have your wingman show up in an hour rather than a few minutes after the open.

Bartenders shifts change around four o'clock, a bartender usually opens for the next hour or so. So 6 or 7 (fashionably late), the happy hour, means that she will either be dead (have no customers) or will have regulars.

If it's a night time bar not open before 4, then 5 or 6 is perfect. Make sure you place a time constraint, and basically are there to kill time before you go to some other place. In this case, I recommend it being an actual time constraint.

The actual gaming, I leave to you. If she is as in to you as you suspect, she will open you, if not, that's some terrible service.
DHV. If I recall, one of the principle rules of HG's is moving to A2 to A3 (Qualification) EXTREMLY quickly, and rest at Qualification for a long while. I'm relatively new to the game (I apply it in bits and pieces.) But I do know that solo sarging has always been the most successful for me. Besides, even if you don't game right, you will still have this locale as a "throat down" bar. Your own personal Cheers. That works wonders as a social proof DHV.
