| | | Using hired guns to create social proof in your group I play a bit of the stockmarket, and one of the dodgy things you learn is how to create false market demand for certain stocks, by getting your partners/wingmen to buy out some shares (yours) to create a false trend that will influence others to also cash in on those shares because it looks so popular, thus helping you make more money than you otherwise would have. The same thing would work in clubs.
Tonight, I will approach some hot promoters in the club, under the pretext that I need their numbers because I want to organise a birthday party in the club next week, which they will more than willingly give (as thats their job anyway, the more contact tehy get the more money tehy can earn, especially with a birthday party!). Then I will ask whether I too can be a promoter, of which they will try to get me to work under their wing. At last, I will ask them to do me a favour, and offer to pay them $5 or $10 if need be, to come up to my group on teh dancefloor, pretend to ask the hottest chick in my group to introduce her to me, and then to ask whether she could borrow me from the group.
She takes me by the hand, we walk out of my group and dissappaar into the crowd, where the imaginations of my group go wild. Actually, all she is doing is take me someplace discreet and then we part ways. When I walk back to the group, everyone (as always) will assume we have made out, especially when i put some mashed on lipstick on what side of my lip. Or I can get her to grab my arse. The girls in my group will be impressed, and as always, chain reaction theory will come into play and I can get the girls in my group and from outside as well with teh pwoerful social proof. So this is what I will do tonight.

| | | Your mindset is all wrong man. You should be working on improving your game, not "cheating" and finding ways to get around it.
I've learned from experience to avoid deceiving people -- it always comes back to haunt you.
This strategy reeks of such desperation and insecurity that I seriously doubt they'd even do it. Sorry bro.
Even if they did, you know what I think would happen? They'd sneak around behind your back and tell the group about how this loser basically paid them off just so he'd look cool.

| | | In short: I plan to throw myself at their mercy. Besides, I'll be bankrolling them so if they want their free drink per visit, they'de better keep it between us. And to make sure they'de do it for me, I plan to at least give them a level of comfort at least. Make it sound sweet and naive instead of desperate.
THe only thing stopping me from doing it on tonight a tueday night is that when I went up to the club reception, they said NONE of the promoters were in. I tried to hire the bartender to pimp out some women for me to hire for this activity. The reason being that its extremely difficult to talk in clubs, especially since my voice is low and broken and so tends to be very soft in clubs. I wanted to experiment with this hired guns approach to see wehther I can pick up on the dancefloor without saying a word.

| | | but isn't social proof a good investment? We pay 1700 for MM anyway paying 5-20 dollars for social proof that could go a long long way by replicating itself sounds like a great deal to me.

| | | You pay for social proof in a different ways.
You provide them value... read my article.
And did you ever consider that fucking with penny stocks (in pink sheets) is seriously illegal?
Hyping up small company's stock by forcefully driving trends up is so illegal i wouldn't be posting about it here if i were you. |

| | | frustratedasian, from a previous thread you wrote, and now this one, you seen drawn to the ridiculous. It adds nothing to the Forum and wastes time.
You've been on the Forum long enough and gotten enough feedback to know we all want you to grow by learning game and improving your life the correct way.
Ya dig?
Good. Grow up already.
PS: You are not permitted, as has already been observed, to post about illegal activity. "Pump and dump" stock manipulation is against the law. At least here in the US. It's not clear if you're describing something you do, or something you learned about, but don't post about it here, either way. Thanks. |

| | | hi truestory, you seem to know a lot about clubs. So I need your help. I'm actually a promoter myself of several clubs :s yup thats right haha. I don;t know how the US works but in Melbourne, you become a promoter simply by asking. It seems to them like the more the better, and it sorta is. By bribing some kid, any kid with a free entrance, you stand to earn money from the 10 additional people he invites. Thats how Melb clubs fill their clubs and earn so much money, by handing out promotership indiscriminately to anyone who asks to. So thats how I became a promoter.
Just wondering how I can use my position as a promoter to my advantage, without paying for social proof.

| | | I understand deadeye. Sometimes my solutions to problems, such as tehre being too much noise in the clubs, leads me to pursue desperate measures. But I was jsut wishing to share an idea which seems good. DESPITE some success, I'm fed up of the crash and burn that always takes place before it. I just need some social proof fast, especially given the fact that at the moment, I'm not high enough in the social pecking order to invite people out. I;m depending on my friends to organise activties, becasue when I tried, I found it hard. My value is just not up there yet.
