I'm not sure if this has been discussed before.
I may have read about it and forgotten about it, only to rediscover it for myself in the field.

I'll set the scene...
A buddy of mine was throwing a party. I had a prior engagement so I didnt show up until like 12:30. but I knew his party would go pretty late so it wasn't a big deal.

Just as I expected it was like a high school reunion. I walk in and I see guys for the first time since high school. So I was DHVed pretty well.

I see a girl I know. Fara. She is known as the groupie of a certain friend circle. She is always talking about the next guy she is going to sleep with, or the last one she slept with. She is with a friend of here. Mandy. (HB 9) And tall

So, we are introduced. Then Mandy gets distracted by some drunkthats hitting on her. I turn to Farah. Is she always so rude?... Later she relays that I said this to Mandy. She laughs....and relays this to her friends right in front of me.

Later on I use the old "How do you dye just the roots." She didn't laugh. But she did get really embarrassed. Even the hot girls get self conscious.
I set up a barnight with the girls.

Fast forward a few days

I get to the bar, and and again Mandy is being hit on. So I go to Farah,"She still hasn't gotten her roots done." A few minutes later I sit down next to Mandy, and Farah tells her what I said. Bantering ensued.

So I learned that what you tell one girl will eventually be known by the entire group. Later on in the night there were several instances in which I would say something to my target and she owuld relay it to her friends or vice versa. But many times it was right in front of me. Eventually I joked that "I should only speak when all the girls are around so you don't have to quote me all the time." They loved it.

So I learned that any neg or IOI that you make toward your target but to her friend, will probably be relayed to your target. Especially if her friends like you. But it is extra powerful because her friend is talking about you. It makes her wings into your wings for one or two lines.

It reminds me of a king that is too good to speak with a peasant so he has a messenger do it for him. Just make sure that you are the king and she is the peasant.

Its not "old news" in the way you present it. But this is not only with negs, this applies to ALOT. Also this is a really powerful way of bonding. Its kinda of like anchoring, in a way a least. I use this ALL the time.

If you take this consept a little further, you can use it in many situations. It can be applied to guys as well.

ie. Something funny happens to you and NN. You find out later that NN told her friend about this. When you are sitting or spending time with her friend in any setting, you can actually make her feel like she was there, and was a part of that funny something. Makes her feel like she was a part of something funny with you, hence making it easier to bond (no matter what the goal of the bonding is).
