how to get rid of my bad rep?

I'm in my 3rd year in university. I've been going out 3times a week for almost 3 years now, so basically I know everybody. There are 3 bars I go to regularly and I really don't want to change that, since I know the managers/bouncers etc. I basically get VIP treatment. There is a bunch of different social groups but mostly all the good looking girls know each other by association.

My problem is this, lately I've been cock blocked by other random girls some of which I didn't even know. Like for example, i walked up to 2 girls this one night, started talking and almost immediately one of the girls said: "don't talk to him he is a player". Another time I was walking down the street after the bars to an after party chatting one of the girls up, and her friend (who i kinda knew, but not really) told me to stay away right in front of her, and told her that i was bad news. there has been more...but i dont want to bore you

anyways, my rep in these circles has gone to SHIT...like im some kind of an asshole/player/womanizer/slut. But Im really not, and I really need to fix this. Sure I flirt alot with girls, and i get alot of numbers and stuff but no need to make me seem like this f'n animal.
Like 2 weeks ago I hooked up with a really good friend of mine's best friend. I dont know what my friend told her after but she cock blocked me really really bad. It might have something to do with me sleeping with her roomate aswell, as bad as that sounds her roomate knew it was a 1nighter
In reality im tired of playing games and actually want a gf for change. So far Ive cut down on going out and have concentrated on really changing my persona to be this nice guy (all while keeping my game). But this reputation I have just keeps on hunting me down, and it is happening more and more often.

what can I do? how can i fix my rep?
or better yet, how can I use it to my advantage?

You can't really fix it (not fast enough anyway) unless you wanted to try going other places where your less known...

Dude, you're being punished. The cure for this is time. Just keep being a social guy and it'll work itself out. These little girls will get tired of talking about you, and as the story spreads others will get curious. Happens every time.
