Difference between PUSH-PULL & TAKEAWAY?

Its been boggling my mind for a while now, and now i want some answers!

Whats the difference? I cant see one. is it just the same thing called different names? Are they different things completely?

DILEMMA -

takeaway - give somthing, take it back.
push-pull - give something, take it back.

You can see what i mean...
