High School Social Help

This is my first post so ill tell a little about myself(what i wouldnt normaly tell anyone else).

I am 15(sophmore) and have VERY LITTLE friends. I have 1 friend(another school), and 2 guys(and one of there girlfriends) that I hang with at school but they just talk to each other and seems not to care if i am there or not.

i have ALOT more friends online then i do in real life(StarCraft).

In my second hour there is a pretty popular guy that talks to me, but thats the only time we talk.

I have JUST started hanging out at the mall with my friend from another school(instead of just talking to him online).

I have never had a girlfriend and do not talk to any girls besides the girlfriend of the guy i hang with.

I am in decent shape and smart.



How can i make more friends? can i just walk up to kids at lunch and try to use TMM to talk with them? should i hang out with my friends girlfriends group(7-8 girls, i kinda know 1 other then the gf)

Please give me your advice!

As a parting note, school clubs and activities are a good way to meet people with interests similar to yours. Local recreation or special interest groups are another method. Charities (like Habitat for Humanity) or other volunteer groups might be good for you as well.

Go to the reference desk at your local library and they can help you find groups of kids your age.
