Why you Should Always go for the Kiss

I really blew it tonight - I saw a girl tonight who I met two weeks ago at a bar, had a chance to hook up with her, and just froze up. I'm typing this from my bed, alone.

Tonight marks the two-month point from when I discovered TMM and The Game, so here's what happened. Two weeks ago I met HB 8.5 at a bar, got some good IOIs and gave her my email. We talked about my time in South Africa (showed her safari pics, told a couple DHVs). Guess she liked the DHV, cause tonight we chatted on the phone for the first time, talked for 10 minutes and she said I should meet her and her friend at the bar later.

So we met at the bar pretty late, both a drink or three deep. I talked to her for an hour or so, and I was kino escalating and telling stories and being funny, just hitting all the points, you know? She seemed to be interested. So I kept thinking "alright, kiss her." Then I started getting the "what if's." What if she says no, or what if she hates me afterwards, etc. So I kept delaying, and soon enough, she said she was going home and she left.

Her friend then leans into and says "so what do you think about HB 8.5? She really likes you. She talks about you a lot. You just seem like you're a really sweet guy, and her boyfriend is an asshole and cheats on her."

Unbelievable.

I texted her to see if I could come over, but she said "I'm not that kind of girl, sorry." Then I called and told her how "I'm not that kind of guy either, I'm actually kinda shy, but I just, I really had a good time tonight." She goes "I had a really good time tonight too...I'm going to turn in though. Night."

Not sure if I still have a shot or not, she seems like a non-slut type. But now I have to play the "should I call her or wait till she calls me? game.

Moral of the story, always go for the makeout when you have a chance, cause the feeling I have right now after letting one slip through my fingers is 10X worse than a girl saying no to a kiss. I'll never let it happen again. I've learned my lesson.

So if she took it that way, that's not her fault.
I think you made it worse by calling her and explain how she misunderstood.
bascially you wanted to say 'I wasn't going to fxxk you'
there could be a better way other than talking straight.

Yeah there were many better ways to handle it than I did, namely going for the K-close so I wouldn't be in that position to begin with.

What I did do after our phone conversation was text her with: "I just wanna lie on opposite sides of the bed and watch TV." I wanted to try that one out.

Exactly man. The feelings of self-doubt you get are far worse than the sting of rejection (and maybe the occasional slap ), so go for it
