Default Japanese Metropolis Daygame

Ok folks,

I trust some of you have been living in Japan or at least visiting it at some point.

Japanese culture is heavily divided by the concept of groups. You belong into groups with other people or not. That can be a club, your company, or even the same wagon on a train.

Now to clarify something right away:
This is not about Japanese Nightgame!
Picking up girls after 6 in Shinjuku or Roppongi is about as hard as... finding a maid in Akihabara.

However I was wondering if anyone had come up with a good approach to daygame in Japanese metropolitan areas. The country areas are off limits anyhow as long as you aren't absolutely perfect in Japanese.

But even in the cities (Tokyo in my case) daygame seems impossible. My Japanese is fluent and I have all the "western qualities", so nightgame has a high success rate of approximately 90%.
But daygame never worked for me. No matter what approach - direkt, indirect, polite...

C and S Stages are easy. Compliance tests are also kind of easy to find and perform.

So has anyone come up with techniques that actually work for A Stages during Japanese Daygame?

Even the Japanese guys I ask (some of the folks I wing with during Nanpa) tell me "well, it's nighttime only".

So please share your thoughts, ideas and expertises.
Because there is two thirds of Japanese females whom you'll never see in clubs and bars.

Thanks

I too can speak a fair bit of japanese but i dont know complicated words like, blackhole. (i just pulled that from no where)
So tell me, when you have opened in day game have you used the whole i cant speak good japanese routine? I wonder if that will lower your DHV.

Hi there,
good to finally get some posts in this thread. I was beginning t fear no one gave a *.

In Daygame I have opened with about everything I could find but never got past the opener because they were just blocking. If you find anything that works, I would really appreciate you sharing it.

In nightgame I never used the "I can't speak good Japanese" routine. I also think that it would be a DLV.
What I do is a little different.
Just approach them talking English. They will always struggle. That will lower their value because they _all_ learned English for at least 6 years in school. So once you have had them mumble enough just say something like
Huge DHV on your side 'cause you showed your skills right away plus you kind of "saved" her from the embarrassment of not knowing enough English.
Always works for me.

No shit man? haha thats no good.
yeah im keen as mustard to get some game happening now. If i come up with a good opener will definetley share it with you guys.

Yeah good point man. I reckon that is gold. Start speaking in english and they will feel inadequate.
But you know what i actually feel like thats almost a bad thing sometimes cos then they feel uncomfortable. Probably me thinking too much.haha

Ill have to give it a crack tomorrow.

Where are you based?
Im in chiba.

It's not so bad for them. Most are used to it. If after a hook like that you somehow manage to split the set, then you've won.

Fire away. I'm interested in your results.

I'm based in Ota.

South-East. With convenient connections to Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku. -- Which is good because I don't care for Roppongi.

Sweet as.

Well, i went out today for a pathetic first day game crack at "sarging". Naturally i was shitting myself. haha

So i first thought to ask
"can you speak english"

of course they said no. But i planned to go from there and ask a question in japanese. But the initial negative response was not good so i quickly ran away with my tail between my legs. haha

Then i thought i should say

"日本人ですか”

and they would say yes.

I walked around the city for a while and realised my biggest fear was other people hearing me trying to chat up a girl.

But then luckily i found a girl with no-one in the vicinity so i could go up without the fear of others hearing me.

I said

ME-”一つ聞いていいですか?(i should of added here; いそがんきゃけど、but forgot)

ME-(after slightly turning around to walk away)

ME-(forgot what else to say so ran away. haha)

What i planned to say after she said no i cant speak english was "だめだね!小学校からえいご習うでしょう!笑”

And then she would say no from junior high, and i would say but i teach elementary school english etc.
Then i could talk normally about what they do etc. and maybe throw in a few more canned routines after that as well. That should be enough time to secure some digits. haha

Well that was my shit effort. ha
But at least i faced up to the embarressment. Hopefully i can stand the embarressment another 50 times before it gets a little easier.

By the way she responded brilliantly to the open (she was prob about 6.5, 24, but good dress sense and she was confident) its probably a good opener with practice.

And by the way, when you speak in japanese its not so bad, because you can speak more slowly and get away with it because your a gaijin. If you speak slower to make sure you spit out the canned line right, it just looks like your thinking of the right japanese words. So you still look confident/comfortable (even though i was shitting myself. ha)

catchya bro

let me know what you think.

Sounds like you had some fun.

The opener is kind of nice. Maybe a little obvious, but it seems to work. Actually what also works (but never got me further than what you did today) is to walk up to a maid in Akihabara and make a comment - not even really towards her - saying "あの彼女いない変人は面倒くさいなー".

They are all kind of pissed by the guys coming onto them, since most of em work for the メイド喫茶 and are not really into Cosplay.

But either they don't give you enough reactions afterwards to keep the conversation running or just turn you down in the first place.

If you get one to bounce with you, then tell me how you did it. Oh and don't spare the other adventures either. All we can do is learn.
