Hey Chris3. I'm assuming that your talking to me
and asking me how the memory book is different from
the speed reading book.
Here's the run down:
Speed reading is very time consuming and you have
to use your fingers to read (which I hate). At first
the author says you will see no results, but you
beed to use blind faith to get over the first
roadblock. If you enjoy reading slowly then I do not
reccomend this book. Unless you have hours of free
time to learn this stuff, don't get it.
The memory book is very simple and can be applied
then and there very quickly.
The system relies on your ability to visualize
pictures in your mind. If you can't do that then sorry lol.
This will enrich all areas in your life as opposed to speed
reading which will only help you read faster.
In this book you will learn:
How to memorize names (the author holds the world record for mem
orizing 7.2 million names, he's legit)
Credit card numbers.
Information in books.
Where you put stuff
Appointments
Routines (if you have a hard time doing so)
He stresses that this is very easy and painless, which it is, as
opposed to the time consuming speed reading book.
Here's an example of his technique at work:
the work is omphalos and it means belly button or navel.
"See" the ridiculous picture of you
arm falling
loose
going into your belly button.
The ridiculous picture guarantees that you will not forget. Also,
you linked the pronounciation of the word (arm fall loose) with
the definition ( belly button). You created a link between 2
things which is what memory work is really about.
I was lazy, but I hope this sloppy review helps you make the
right choice (memory book

).
Sorry to all those speed readers out there. Sort of gave the book
a bad rep.
pce,
