epic problem

so i got this problem. it involves my best friend and his girl.
this girl hates me cause she thinks i'm rude. i apparently didn't talk to her enough when we met on a few occasions. i honestly couldn't care what she thinks of me. However it has become so awkward when they are together and it happens so often.

how should i proceed? any help would be appreciated
