| | | Very Unique situation, ex-gf -> FB? If you've read my prior posts, you know my situation. If not, here's the brief. Dated a girl for 4 months with no "label." Had a huge fight. I apologized, she said she would agree to see me if we took things slow. We fucked the first time we got back together. Things have been great for the past 3 weeks. No fighting, regular sex, etc. Things were great.
Last Friday, we went out. Spent the night at our own places. She sent a goodnight *kisses* txt. I assumed it was all good. Saturday morning I woke up to a "I want to talk to you sometime soon" txt..we talked, she said we can't keep fooling ourselves...you're too good of a guy for me...i don't want to lead you on..."-not really sure if these have hidden meanings or not.
The real question is this: we spoke a few weeks ago (when things were good) and I told her I would feel guilty thinking of her as a FB, thinking she would like to hear that. She was surprised, and said "why would that make you feel guilty?"
So I told her after she wanted to end it that I would drop her stuff off at her apartment...it was nice dating you...wish you well. Her response was "it doesnt have to be like that. I'd love to have you in my life. I want to see you again.." So after I dropped her stuff off at her apartment (in a bag, on her door) she sent a txt flipping out. "that's disprespectful...you're dead to me, you have fallen off the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned." My response was cool and calm. "sorry you feel that way." etc.
This HB9 has a temper sometimes. She does say things out of anger that she doesn't mean. She has said something like this a few times when we fought. A relationship obviously won't work out, but I would like to keep her as a FB. By her "I want to see you...i would love to have you in my life" txt, I think she was hinting at that.
I haven't contacted her since Saturday (during our phone fight/breakup). Should I wait for her to talk to me (if ever...she's stubborn)? Re-initiate conversation by asking her for my things back?
Any input is appreciated! |

| | | "I want to see you...i would love to have you in my life" can just as well mean LJBF.

| | | doubtful....especially after she reacted to the "friends with benefits" question. you don't go from sex all the time to no sex at all unless there is a serious issue (cheating, etc) |

Silver | I agree, psycho girls can do this very likely.. eg: blow him, dont swallow, run to the bathroom.. tadaaadaa
Note to boy: You handled this poorly. If you wanted a FB, once she reacted and said "Why not?", you should have said "well, if thats what you want".. and this is when you get laid. |

| | | i agree i handled it poorly, but i didnt think that she wanted to be a FB and may even feel disrespected if i agreed to it.
note-i was at a club last night and saw her-she walked up, tapped me on the shoulder, gave me a hug & kiss on the cheek and said nice to see you. for the rest of the night she was dancing with every guy in the club (seemed like she wanted a reaction from me, but she didnt get one).
she's coming by today to drop my stuff off--any advice on how to play it/what to say/what not to say? |

| Doesn't matter. Flipping out and going nuts is for crazy people. Normal people don't do that.
I don't know why you think she'd make a good FB, she puts a lot of drama into your life, which the FB relationship is supposed to avoid. There are other women out there who are friendly and are fun in the sack and aren't nuts.
In general, girls normally won't go from GF -> FB, even if they say they will. The opposite works, but less casual doesn't. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
