Qualification and Groups

I understand that qualification starts after gaining attraction. In bars, I'm almost always opening groups, and I feel that lately I've been getting enough attraction with them (all female groups, that is).

So, theoretically that means I should start qualifying. Everything I read here about qualifying, however, makes it seem as if you should already be in isolation with your target. So, after I get attraction from the whole group, do I start qualifying to the group as a whole, i.e. "Say, do you guys like to travel?"

Or, am I suppose to isolate always before starting qualification, i.e. ignoring the target for the most part throughout Opening->Attraction, and then saying "Hey guys, I've kinda been ignoring your friend, mind if I borrow her for a minute?" or something similar? Then going into qualification?

Does anybody have any tips about what they do or clarification on this? I'd really appreciate your thoughts.
