Default I want to start Muay Thai

Here in Toronto, I found a few schools.
And found one school that I like a lot. Might join it. Have a couple of friends who go there.

But got to me the most is one of the trainers there.
He is my height (6"2) and 185 pounds, I'm a little more, since I am not made up of full muscle here. But nonetheless, a real inspiration.

Anyone else take Mauy Thai? Or any form of Arts? Share it!

I've been doing Martial arts for many many years now. Krav Maga, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Kung Fu, and Judo. Martial arts are great, especially if you dedicate yourself to the philosophical aspect of it.

Heh, I wanted to do Krav Maga, but here in Toronto there isn't many schools. Like.. 2.. To tell you the truth. And none of which I really like.

So I am sticking to Muay Thai
Sick shit. Went yesterday to see the gym (for the second time)
saw the owner, he is 49 years old, pure muscle, 6pac and shit LOL

at the rink/ring (which1 is right) i saw this guy getting K.O right in a middle of the class lol

the teacher didn't even help him.
I was like "NIIICCEEEEE"

I LOVE IT!!! I can't afford the gym so I just do bagwork in my garage and try to find guy friends who'll help me work on my conditioning/form/etc. It seems that almost everyone I meet is into it... It's a trend that I support. There aren't as many girls doing it though (they do the aerobics part of it and less actual bagwork/sparring). You'll love it. It's kinda addicting...

Dude, I'm an amateur Mixed Martial Arts fighter who is very close to going pro. If you want a good martial arts discipline, find a place that teaches BOTH muay thai and brazillian jiu jitsu. There most DEFINITELY are places that teach both, and they will make you an all around amazing fighter. Those are the two best combat martial arts around.

I've been doing Muay Thai for several years now here in NYC, and I'm completly in love lol. I think about muay thai as much as I think about women lol, I recommend you go for it 100%. Not only will you get in great shape, and earn a new sense of confidence, but you;ll really get a spiritual and mental clensing. Training your mind and pushing your body to new limits really helps humble one, and really helps you see things in a different light. I can't tell you how many times I'd be down and out over something, than I'd go to the gym and realize shit isn't as serious as I made it out to be lol. Muay thai is my cure for everything to say the least : D lol

I trained years ago when I was growing up in high school with Ray Longo who was a family friend and ended up later training some big UFC guys in their standup (Matt Serra, Pete Sell)... He's a world class MMA/Muay Thai trainer...

If you are in the NY/Long Island area, I'd highly recommend training with Ray.
