Form Lair with no instructor?

I've read there's a lair not too far from me (About 3 hours drive in Detroit area) but I don't think they're active anymore. My attempts to contact anyone hasn't gotten any responses.

I was thinking about starting my own. I know I don't have any instructors around me but I was thinking that if I can gather some guys who are interested we could meet once a month and discuss issues. Perhaps share our techniques and so forth. Then somewhere down the line set up lectures and things like that. I've done this for magic clubs before so I have some experience.

My question is are others doing this? I've never been to a Lair meeting for the reasons I already mentioned above. If so is there a source of information to help put this together? I have a location I can use for anything (A friend owns a bar that has 3 bars in one building. Two of which are basically rental halls). This would be great because we can have out meeting in our own private bar in the back then later actually feild test or game right in the main bar that's open all in the same building. (Makes mental note. The PUA in training use the back entrance and we tell them we're having a magic club meeting rather then PUA meeting. ).

Any suggestions?

Funny that you are asking about this... because I was toying with the idea, then I started to get overwhelmed with possible problems such as.. arseholes that manage to find me and not too sure how to deal with them and such, so I abandoned the idea for now.

I've asked TrueStory for some information, because Fader said that he ran one in his area.
