July 2006 - Should you pay for dates?

July 2006's OAP discusses general guidelines when money is involved. This is a very sensitive issue for some people and contains excellent information as well as a "question and answer" section for various money-related scenarios.
The most profound thing I learned in this OAP issue was that it IS okay to pay for a date, within a certain context of course. I was surprised at how flexible the "rules" were presented. But I always remember that when your frame is strong enough, you can get away with anything.

My way of paying for dates is that, I pay for the food and she gives the tips. Or I buy the food, pay for the tips, and she buys the drinks, later on. Its fair enough.
If its just at a bar - I buy the first round... she buys the second round.

I have to agree that the article was well written and it helped clear up some of the issues when meeting a girl at the bar and if you should buy her a drink or not.

The OAP was written for advanced PUA's. N00bzors can't pull stuff like that and get away with it.
Ie:She pays everything or you go dutch is the best way for N00bs, and I think in general.

That was a great OAP. It kind of answered a question I was going to post but I'd like your opinions on it. I know better than to offer a woman a drink as an opener thanks the MM. I used to open with the drink offer due to bad advice from older AFC's when I was younger.
But lets say I'm talking to a group of girls away from the bar, I get through A1-a3 with my target. What I liked to do in the past is to isolate her from the group to by taking her to the bar for a drink with me where I'd get into comfort. Would you guys say this is an acceptable case of buying her a drink?

After you've qualified her in A3, given her legitimate IOIs for things other than her looks, buying her a drink at that point is considered an SOI.
