suggestion - a rating/rep system

Hey all, been browsing these forums for a decent amount of time... keep up the great work!

I know that you can rate threads with a star count, but I would like to suggest a way to give a rating / reputation system for individual users. There are plenty of people here offering advice, and some are really great and I respect their advice a lot (like TrueStory for example), while some others are just plain bad.

I think this would help to better separate those users who consistently offer good content and value from those who don't. My idea was that you would be able to give a feedback rating to a post of an individual user (how good their advice was, etc.), and the forum would keep a cumulative average and total of all their feedback and display that next to their name.

This would probably take a decent amount of work to do, but I think it would be a worthwhile upgrade.
