lol are we talking about Traditional Ecko unltd. or the contemporary Marc Ecko “Cut & Sew”? (or G-unit)?
cut & sew is the only one i wear. I don't mess with G-unit or Unltd. And to tell you the truth, a lot of cut & sew reminds me of DKNY style.
But not everyone likes Marc Ecko (he's not main stream), which I agree with you on.

Ecko in general is an exemplar of why you hated on ed hardy
at least in the graffiti community.
At least tattoo artists respect Ed Hardy

i really dont believe that it matters what you are wearing. if she is wearing a certain style that doesnt mean you need to be congruent to her style just to pick her up. i would say that over half the girls i date have told me that im not the type of guy they generally go for, in terms of style and fashion. but guess what. it didnt matter it was me that they liked not how i dressed. everyone thinks out the way the dress way to much. the clothes might get u some quick looks or something but its up to the individual, YOU, to keep them hooked.
and who cares about the whole established brand thing.
overall:wear what makes u happy
wear what is comfortable to you.
if you arent comfortable in what your wearing they will be able to tell. so be congruent with yourself.
its like if you are dressed like a surfer and your whole image screams surfer but you cant even swim and your pale then you look like a prick. an over the top analogy but i think it gets the point across

Sorry to get off topic here, but all the hate for Affliction is starting to grind on me a little bit, so I'd like to address a few things mentioned by TrueStory. Also, for the guys who hate on Affliction, you may as well hate on TapouT, Xtreme Couture, every other MMA clothing line, and while you're at it, hate the UFC itself, because it's more commercial than the clothes you're knocking.
And TrueStory, I'm not being a prick here or trying to point the finger at you or anything, I have nothing but respect for you and what you write. I just happened to see you saying this stuff before I saw anyone else.

I agree with you here. Personally, I have *one* Affliction shirt, and I love it. Every time I've been out and have worn it, girls have touched it and complimented me on it. My buddies always bust my balls about it though, ie "Hey dude, we're goin out tonight, if you're coming you should wear your Affliction shirt so nobody fucks with us haha"

Big disagree here. Sure, Affliction is popular mainly because of Georges St.Pierre, Randy Couture, etc. but it's not disrespectful (in my eyes anyway, if you don't agree with me, it's completely cool) for a company who sponsors fighters to put a clothing line out. I've been doing MMA since before the term was coined (I started when I was six), and it kills me to see the one sport left unmolested by commercialism getting raped like it is. A few years ago, if I saw a guy wearing a fight shirt I know I could walk up and talk to him about martial arts, fights he's been in, training, etc., but nowadays every douchebag who's seen one UFC special thinks he knows about MMA, so they go out and buy TapouT, Xtreme Couture, and Affliction shit. Or even worse, they see other people wearing it so they just buy it because it's popular.

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but a few of my favourite fighters are sponsored by Affliction, so I want to make a few points here.
As you probably know, the UFC banned Affliction, and IMO they turned to Donald Trump for financial backing. I don't think this is a commercial sellout move, it's a business move, and as such shouldn't discredit the brand or the fighters it sponsors.
Lots of brands rely on celebrity promotions, I don't think this is a big deal at all either.

Its a Brand.....its trendy, kinda cool for the next 10 minutes and then its played out and boring.
Developing your own style is more timeless, its something you can work on to improve over time and something that sets you apart, especially in a bar full of people wearing trendy shirts.
A person to me has alot more depth when they develope their own style, that to me is powerful, it says, i am who i am, reguardless.
I toot my own horn sometimes, but honestly i developed my own look, because i didnt want to be categorized as "the same", and thats how i am in life, i'm unique. Its something nearly every girl i've hooked up with or dates has been into me for.

How would you describe your look? Or better yet, do you have pictures?
EDIT: I'll add some pics of my look tomorrow, I went to west edmonton mall today with my ex and spent waaay too much money at Harry Rosen. I had to buy a new wardrobe for a job I recently landed, and the store looked cool... I had no idea designer brand dress clothes were so fucking expensive though. Slightly beyond my means anyways, I'll have to build up my repetoir more slowly than I had hoped

Many people wear A&F and Hollister, by wearing it, you'll be wearing what the other 50% of the population is wearing. Try to develop your own style that works around the style that Abercrombie and Hollister offer. You need to stand out from the crowd, don't look like another walking mannequin

Tell me guys, what's your goal when you chose a style? Is it because you want to get opened by girls? you what to look alpha? If so, what's you definition of looking alpha and why?
