Default People think I'm gay...

A couple years ago I started to wear abercrombie and hollister and that sort of clothing. It was really tight on my body, almost skin tight. Im 6'5 and was only 170 at the time so this style of clothing looked very odd on me. It looked gay. I didn't realize it at the time, but behind my back people we calling me gay. I eventually figured out that I couldn't be wearing this style of clothing or people would mistake me for a homesexual, something that I'm not. I ditched all those "muscle" shirts and "skinny" jeans and started to wear some baggier stuff, still classy, just baggier. So this new style consists of designer jeans like Rocks, true religions, 7's, etc, except I ordered one size up so that they wouldn't fit too tight on my legs. I also started to wear size Large and even XL so that I don't look too gay. Even with these modifications in dress, I STILL get people asking if I'm gay. This is started to disturb me. It can't be my dress because I've taken care of it. I'm thinking it's either the way I look (I have a major baby face and look somewhat feminine) or it's my behavior (I might not act manly enough perhaps). What can I do to stop people from thinking I'm gay? It's really starting to get to me and I need to figure this out before I return for my second year of college.

Meh, it's a lot of the way you carry yourself, not so much how you dress (unless you look flamboyantly gay or something)

I like to dress sharply but I also carry myself like I'm a man-about-town (or I think I do!) I don't think men are homosexual because they DRESS nicely. I would guess a man to be homosexual if he ACTS homosexual — perhaps you looked totally normal and there were just a few people who can't tell gay from straight who were talking shit about you. Who knows?

Hell, I wore muscle shirts and never got mistaken for a gay guy. It's definitely NOT your choice in clothing if you're wearing things as innocent as those. I'd put my money on it being your mannerism and they way you carry yourself. Maybe you could extrapolate on that a bit more…?

Is it dudes or girls asking you? I wear muscle shirts all the time, now I am a bit bigger than you so I cant really tell if its the same, but I always get hate from dudes mostly wanksters. I just go yah totally I am such a fag in a mocking tone. Girls on the other hand have never asked me once. Usually I will get like a pec squeze. The your gay thing is just an amog from dudes being jelous that they are too insecure to wear what you wear.

yeah man, ditch the whole sizing up thing. I mean, unless your shit was literally skin tight all the way through stick with the slimmer fitting stuff.
I get this alot from people, but mostly only people who have known me for a long time as a joke. Just brush it off, an alpha male isnt so concerned with what others think. As long as you like the clothes, then wear em. And if you really take that attitude to heart, I bet almost no one will call you gay.

I get it too. I've asked and it's not so much that I dress sharply but it's how I carry myself I've been told. That's the price you pay to be classier than the average drunk chump in a bar. Every single guy I see around here wears those damn striped button down shirts so I've been wearing floral prints lately. The funny thing is my friends all start shit while the ladies are coming up saying they love it. Let them have their sausage fests, I say! The ladies have spoken.

Chances are you have very homosexual mannerisms or a weak voice. Do you behave like the guys from Queer eye?

If you think it is your style try posting a picture.

Dude fuck them.

Dont let people govern your life and the way you dress.

If they make it their goal to give you constant shit (not in a friend way) then fuck them. They're AFC's for life.

"You think I'm a fag? Well you're girl doesnt."

Ice Pill is totally right
I was too focused on your actual looks, demanding a picture.
Come to think about it Ive been called gay too based on my looks
reply with a cool line and fuck em. at least you got them talking about you.

I would call some peoples style gay. mostly polo/abercrombie stuff but if they feel like thats really them I would strongly advise them to stay that way.
I wear skin tight leather-pants with tightening straps and am proud of it and many might think they are gay too, do i care?

I've had both guys and girls ask if I'm gay. It's usually almost always a guy though. And usually it's in a backhanded way. They usually don't straight up ask "Are u gay?" but maybe say that a "certain gay club would be perfect for me tonite." Stupid shit like that. Here are some pics of me chillin at the beach.
