shoe color must match jacket?

does your shoe color need to match your jacket? For example can I wear brown boots with a black leather jacket? And do the shades of brown need to match exactly? Also what are the best colors for a jacket?

I would think that it's best to match jacket and shoes but as long as they are both the browns don't have to be a perfect match.

Remember the same with belts- brown belt, brown shoes. Although if you are looking to rock a coloured belt (white, red, yellow, blue) obviously shoes don't have to be the same.

Check out some fashion sites where people are wearing brown boots or black leather jackets and see how they dress because these sites are wanting to sell an 'ideal look' so it's a good guide.
