1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this
one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number
(NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2 Do you recognize the

Is this one of those deals that have to be done on olde tyme calculators where the numbers look like letters? Maybe I'm slow, but it doesn't make sense on my $ell phone.

((80x+1)250+y+y-250 )/2=10000x+y

where x equals first three digits and y last four digits.

A nice DHV to nerds no doubt. But does it work on HBs? Has this been FT'ed? What is the typical reaction?

Oh, I thought the point was to get her number while giving her the test.

The result didn't work with my number.

I did it for a girl during comfort and she loved it.
For future reference I dont post non field tested material.

Let me know how it goes for you if you decide to try it

yeh ive done this before. Ive got the steps in a note in my cell phone.

usual reaction is "oh my god"....same as most esp/magic routines.

It works with every number (except those starting with "0" but I don't think those are legit phone number anyway, b/c you would end up dialing zero.) See my proof above.

You must have done something wrong with the calculator.

Ok, I'll FT and report back...

When I was four my father used to show me a trick on the calculator where I would start with any number, follow his steps and the final result would always be

1234567890

Quite fascinating to me back then. Maybe I will have to reinvent it and post.
