great post trackfire, you're absolutely right on everything you said. You couldn't stress better the importance of keeping track of caloric intake. I'll add a tiny example. The other day I was at a friend's place and she offered me a snack. Usually I don't eat that kinda stuff (and you'll see why in a minute), but I took it out of curiosity. It was a 75 g snack, 250 kcal. Wanna know what it takes to burn about 250 kcal? a 20 minute run at 7 km\h. If you run 20 minutes at a moderate pace and then you eat that tiny thing, your work is wasted.
Just like trackfire said, unless you're going through some HARD training, some training that makes you burn TONS of kcal, you MUST control you caloric intake, or you'll go nowhere. |
