pectorals developing super fast
Got a strange work out question.
About a month or so ago I had a workout session where I really worked on my pectorals, the next day and for about 1-2 weeks after that my pecs looked MASSIVE, as in properly well formed as if I'd been working them out for 6 months. After the 1-2 weeks I stopped noticing but don't know if thats because they went down or I just got used to it.
Then a couple weeks ago my roommate said the exact same thing, he'd worked out his pectorals and suddenly they were properly built, even his girlfriend pointed them out a couple days later and said "they definately weren't there before!" which reminded me of my experience.
Then I worked out my pecs a few days ago, and BAM, they're massive!
I have a pretty messed up work-out schedule at the moment, with lots of stuff going on for the past couple of weeks and for the next, so I don't really have a schedule, but can someone explain this to me? How me and my roommate both noticed this separately, it wasn't "the pump" as I noticed it for ages after, and even a third person (roommate's gf) noticed.
What's going on? Do pecs just develop that fast!?

no they don't it's just pump, unless you have also gained weight
initial gains are often high when you begin to train, enjoy it while it lasts

Yeah, the pump will only last a few hours after the workout. What you're seeing are either the awesome gains all trainees see when starting a program, or genuine growth. Muscles dont grow immediately after being stimulated; true hypertrophy takes a few days to kick in. So if you did a killer pec workout on day 1, then stayed away from your pecs and chest for 4-5 days while taking in enough calories, you'd notice massive gains. Most programs for growth don't actually see massive growth until a week after the program is done. So if you wanna get big, stay out of the gym and rest up!

massive growth bwahahahahhah
it takes years without some chemical assistance, I think you are just a little deluded
a proper routine with compound movements, a calorie surplus, sleep and time will get you there
